Last in the league in punting. It boggles my mind that we can’t scour the schools in-state and come up with a punter that can average 40 yards per and offer them a PWO with a chance to earn a scholly.

Don’t think Saban pursues Punters and Kickers with the same dogged determination that he does the other positions. Just get one on the roster every year and some serviceable specialist will emerge.
Think he does a much better job getting top Long Snappers. We have been very good there.

I don't think that's true. According to 247 recruiting rankings Alabama has at least tried to go after top kickers on a regular basis and has been about as successful as anyone at getting them at least according to the recruiting rankings.

A quick look shows Alabama has gotten the #1 PK recruit in the country 3 different times under Saban (Adam Griffith (2012), Will Reichard (2019) and some guy named Jay Williams (2010)) along with a couple other top 10 rated PK as well. For punter it looks like he's gotten a #2, #3, and #4 rated guy during his tenure as well.

Now results once they have gotten on campus has been a different story.
