How about some love for Brian Robinson Jr?

A Tuscaloosa native, who could've started at 100 D1 programs over the last couple of years. But instead he stayed. Now, he's a 5th year super senior. And in his first SEC home game as a starter, he runs for 171 and 4 TDs.
I couldn't be happier for the guy. There's plenty of guys who come through here, because they want to go to the NFL, and Saban gets them as ready as anyone. But Robinson is a guy who is there, and stayed, because he loves Alabama. He grew up watching them, and passing by BDS running errands. And now, he is living out his dream.
I don't like to get cheesy and overly sentimental, but that's a hometown kid story that's been awesome to see.
Edit: I thought he had redshirted.

It's been great. Like you said, we don't have a lot of "underdog" stories in our program, but B-Rob certainly classifies as one of those. And it's awesome to watch.

He's the man, and I am always happy to see him run over defenses. He was a beast on Saturday. Loved seeing 4 go for 4. He's already made his mark in this dynasty, and he's not done yet.

I put $5 on him to win the Heisman when it was still +5000 during the game. How's that?

I hope he stays healthy and we get to see him against that UGA defense. I'd love to see get 30 carries for 150yds and 2-3 TDs against them.

I thought he had taken a red shirt. But he was class of 2017. Either way, he's probably walking away with a master's degree.

No. He was in the class of 2017. He’s just using 2021 as his “Covid year”.

How about some love for Javion Cohen? He has played tremendous all year. He opened up some big holes along with Evan. But everyone knew what we would get from Evan. Cohen has been a pleasant surprise.
I have always liked having two beast OL next to each other at OT & OG.

This board has had a strange ride with B-Rob. Going from he's the best back on the roster a few years ago to he sucks arse and Trey Sanders passed him up. 36 carries. You don't get that if coach Saban doesn't trust you. B-Rob is a dog.

Me seeing BRob finally getting the love

Love this thread.
Lately there are fewer local, or heck, even in state guys around. I get that we need to recruit nation-wide, but I sometimes wonder what could happen if we landed a few more guys who grew up in the state each year. Could help with Auburn games especially. Ha.

At the time, that was a really dumbass opinion, considering he was being compared to multiple NFL starting RBs. He has always played well. But he's really stepping up now that he's our main back. He seems a little quicker laterally, and not just a pure straight line back.
I see his career as a running back Mac. Stayed patient and now gets to be the featured back on a Bama title run.

Hats off to BRob for his patience and undeniable talent, that usually is not a common combination.
He stays healthy he is going to have a helluva year and deservedly so.

He averages 5 yards a carry in his career. Dude is a monster. He has a chance to avg 20 carries a game now.

And led or was near the top of the SEC in yards after contact for most of those years, too.

He's a poor man's Henry. He obviously doesn't have that kind of big play ability, but if you give him the ball 25 times he's going to lean on a defense and eventually wear them out. I loved the style we played against OM. It wasn't conservative, but it was physical.
