Just wanted to say thanks for letting me on the board. Been lurking for years, and won't ever have any inside info, but appreciate the effort TideSaint, Boz and 3714 bring.

Background: Grew up in Meridian going to Bama games. When I was about 10 Baumhower came to the house with Sela...he was the biggest human I had ever seen at that point... I was hooked (brought me a signed football from the Sugar Bowl). Went to Ole Miss - wasn't going to be playing football and the girl to guy ratio at that point was like 5 to 1.

Do you go to Roll Tide Charlotte? When in Charlotte for the weekend for something on game days I hang with that group. Very nice people and place is always packed out.

Haven't been to Roll Tide Charlotte. Which bar / restaurant do they meet at?
I am usually just camped out in front of my TV with my sons being the only ones that tolerate me during games.

I think it is called Bama Charlotte now IIRC but I usually go to DB's Tavern off Audrey Kell. The younger groups tends to go to Whiskey Warehouse and they started a group at the Fox & hound in Lake Norman.

Bob Baumhower came to the house with Sela Ward? Like they were on a date? I know she was a cheerleader for Bama at the time he played, but never knew they dated. Cool fact.
