Did you bother reading the article? 26% of our ICU beds are currently occupied by COVID patients.

Trust the science.

You'll live longer.

Do you honestly think 1 in 20 people has had this? That seems very high to me.

I think more than that have had it.

Way more. We were late to the party with testing, were vastly under equipped for mass testing (and still are) and the majority of positives will never even test because of the number of mild or asymptomatic cases. Conservative estimates place the number of cases at 5-6 times the reported number and as high as 20 times the number. I’m sure the truth lies somewhere in the middle but I would guess 10 times is probably closer to the truth or certainly somewhere between that 5 and 10. So yeah, we’re eat up with the Wu Flu but the fear mongers would tell you that based on those figures, your neighborhood funeral home should be overflowing and we should be digging mass graves.
To paraphrase Matt Damon in The Martian, we’ve scienced the shite out of this virus and have pretty much whipped it. By this time next year, we should be much closer to normal as in pre-pandemic normal.

Saying America as a nation has a huge issue with morbid obesity is political?

What?

Or perhaps it was the "rainbow" mask you just wanted to share will all of us?

Every nation on the planet is seeing a spike in suicides over this pandemic. I don't know why you are celebrating it though. It's actually quite disgusting.

Deflecting now? Or just can't follow anything that doesn't make your ridiculous point? The "spike" in Japan is your big issue here. In the USA we have about the same number of deaths in this country, every single COVID day, as Japan has in the last 10 months. So far, you debating skills on Data points have come a cropper.

You are the one claiming people are spitting, coughing and touching on people in stores.

That's not normal behavior. It's another ridiculous statement not grounded in reality.

Sure it is. It's what people do in close proximity. It's just a matter of time and circumstances. It's particularly what they do without a mask or when there is an unnatural lack of respect for the 6 feet social distancing. Or when demographics is just too much of a hassle for you to be naturally bothered with.

No matter how many times you chose to bring this nonsensical stuff up a person never gets the idea that the other guy matters much in your life. Either you are an orphan or you haven't been to enough funerals yet.

Actually, I was referring to the rainbow mask my daughter wears to school, but you do you.

So you're saying suicides AREN'T up worldwide?

quote:

The "spike" in Japan is your big issue here.

My issue is they are a country known for wearing masks all the time and their cases are spiking. I even linked the AP story detailing it. That's verified by, you know, science.

quote:

Again, and I'll try to type slowly so you can follow along, we have a population full of fat asses that are more susceptible to this disease than they do. How hard is that for you to comprehend?

I can't imagine being so self-unaware as to think you're arguments are good.

And what does deception mean? It means you’re making someone believe something is false or invalid. So is hoax is used when is something isn’t real. Like someone calling in a bomb but it turns out to be fake. The virus is real but reaction is overblown.

I'm 40 years old and have never in my life had someone spit on me while shopping. I don't know where you live, but I have lived in Mississippi, Florida, Idaho, Alabama and now Texas.

No one spits on someone else in the grocery store. That's fricking ridiculous.

So we're on to being racists now? Good Lord.

I wear a mask every single day. The only place I don't wear a mask is in my vehicle and in my home. That doesn't mean the masks are bullshite.

Well I don't hang out with people who go around spitting on others in the store so thankfully I haven't had to attend any funerals during this pandemic.

Maybe if you stop spitting on people in your area they won't be dropping dead.

Baloney. But you just keep being you.

So comprehension isn't your thing. There have been more suicides in Japan in one month than 10 months of COVID death in that same country. When you speak of Japanese COVID "spikes" you aren't saying much. Nothing in comparison to this country. But hey, you just keep being you.

Nah. Bought it at Kroger in Madison, MS.

I guess the AP just wrote the article because they were bored.

Are they testing as much as we are? No.

Will do. I couldn't imagine living a life scared to death of someone spitting on me in Wal-Mart.

No, but you are sincerely half past stupid if you can't simply figure out that term at this point.

Demographics, all humanity presupposed to age, health, and general physical predisposition of COVID deaths.

How am I hassled by someone with heart disease shopping in the same grocery store as me? Or someone being elderly? Or someone being morbidly obese?

We all know what you were referring to and it was race. At least have the balls to admit it.

Yeah. What a crock of bull. Fortunately, many Americans are now smart enough not to fall for this.
