A booster named roy adams that used to have recruits over to his house and sit in his hot tub all day with cortez kennedy. Him and Logan young had wars to see which one could do the shadiest shite with recruits. Young was convicted in court and was murdered in his home so technically Tenstud won in the end.

He might replace MLB USC had transfer out, the much easier to pronounce Palaie Gaoteote IV.

And Tenstud would openly post all this bull shite on message boards bragging about it.

I knew about Logan Young but I didn't know about the Tenstud side of things, goodness.

They were once best friends, to old rich white dudes paying high school kids for God knows what then became arch enemies.

Logan Young's death was very suspicious, too. The police claimed it was an accident but the crime scene was very bad. I don't think some realize how deeply bitter the Alabama vs. Tennessee rivalry is. Fulmer going out like this is poetic justice.

We could begin with Adams in the thick of the Albert Means recruiting scandal, glorying at the downfall of his longtime rival, Alabama booster Logan Young.
We could begin with Adams being deposed as part of related proceedings, showing up carrying a bottle of whiskey and wearing an orange jacket and a coonskin cap.
quote:
“In the 1980s, when I was still practicing law, Roy had gotten caught up in an NCAA investigation,” Schledwitz said. “They were investigating him for providing illegal benefits to Tennessee football players. I wasn’t that good a lawyer, but I was good enough to know that the facts may not be on our side.
“I did a little research and, at the time, the regulations read that it was improper to give benefits to a kid at one school that were not offered to all other kids. So I put on a defense where I could prove that Roy provided benefits to athletes of all different schools. I had affidavits from kids from Ole Miss, Jackson State, Northwest Community College, Mississippi State and the University of Memphis. I had affidavits from everywhere. Roy helped student athletes throughout the Southeast. The NCAA closed the file.”
So that was Adams. Handing out money. Because what’s the point of wealth if you don’t spread it around?
“I bet there’s been at least 10 University of Memphis football players who lived at his house, or he bought cars for,” Schledwitz said. “Lord knows, they all got TVs.”
And what was Adams’ defense to this chicanery?
“I knew the NCAA rules,” he said. “I just didn’t care for them.”

This is starting to remind me of all the Tenstud bs if any of you were on the interwebs back then
Yeah, 20 years ago, you could always count on Tennstud at Volchat to know which shite was blowing up inside our program before we did.

He's a solid player but the excitement is mostly based on what people remember of him as a 5-star recruit.
I would take him and curious if we have real interest. If so I would think he is not a part of the issues the program is encountering or I doubt our staff would consider.

. I can slip Crouch under the door if he wants to play runningback. Gray as well. Always room for runningbacks.
Crouch has been a LB for the last two years at UT and everyone knows he was not going to be as good as a RB as a LB. Plus Crouch had a lot of red flags coming out of HS and especially his senior year.

We do? I was under the impression we had a guy coming back to start his 3rd season in a row and opposite him the choice of about 4 guys, 3 of which are upperclassmen.
Most on here agree Moses was not great this year even though he may not have been fully healed. That being said out of those other guys none could move past him even not at 100%.
Henry called the plays on D for UT this year and was their leading tackler as a sophomore. If the staff is seriously looking at him I doubt they see him as a backup but someone that can push for playing time right off the bat. He would have 3 more years to play as well.

It was revealed in trial in 2005 that Fulmer sent a fax to then-SEC commissioner Roy Kramer during the Means scandal warning him that Roy Adams was "a queer." That doesn't play well today.

would have several questions regarding Henry...
having played 2 years, he would be eligible for the draft after one more... so he could leave at the end of the next season... (win a championship, that would be of little concern; except for the impact on the LB room...and those hitting the portal because of PT)
If Henry did get happy meals, seems he would have to make a deal with the NCAA for immunity for testimony... no deal, he would not be eligible to play for anyone?? would he not be tainted or would he be able to play for anyone NOT providing Happy Meals? I dont believe I really understand this piece?)

Politically incorrect terminology notwithstanding, by 2005 pretty much everybody already knew it.
