At least that's what MSN says. Particularly the Southern Schools LINK

This is a very dangerous mentality. It may give Harbaugh some cover for a little while, but Michigan fans will tire of this narrative. They are a proud program.

Also, since most "cheating" is engineered by monied alums, is the assumption here that not only is UM more ethical, but also its hundreds of thousands of alums? How does Harbaugh know who is and isn't getting money?

All the article shows is that there are some anti=football social engineers in Michigan's administration that object to the misogynistic, testosterone driven world of football and want to knock those Neanderthals down a few pegs. It isn't about ethics at all.

If I were a UM fan, this article would make me furious. I wouldn't be proud.

Sort of like I felt when Joab Thomas stuck us with Curry.

Only thing is the stipend should be a flat amount that is the same for everyone.

I've always felt Auburn is a filter for Alabama when it comes to undesirable players.

Also, do any coaches actually offer recruits money directly the way Harbaugh was talking? I just can't see Saban sitting at a kids house talking about "We gonna pay you X amount" or whatever. Like are they saying Dabo offered Gary money? Because when he says "Before they even ask for money", it seems to me like he's indicating that.

I am shocked -- SHOCKED, I tell you -- to discover the author of this book, John U. Bacon, is a Michigan graduate.

If it was written by someone other then a UM alum I might be more intrigued but just another fan making excuses for CJH and the Wolverines.

I've heard rumors that Harbaugh enjoys spending nights at teen boy's houses

Harbaugh was supposed to set the world on fire at Michigan. It ain't happening. The pressure is getting to him. If he loses to Ohio State this season there will be more fans joining former Michigan players who have called him out already. I give Harbaugh this season and one more season before he's out at Michigan. I'm not saying he'll be fired but I think he will leave for another job probably in the NFL.

Interesting that he decides to target Southern schools instead of the program that employed Urban Meyer for the past 7 years or the program across the state who Captain Khaki is 2-2 against despite the fact that their roster is full of 2 and 3 star players. No mention of Notre Dame either, who they lost to last year. Because entering his 5th season with a 2-7 record against Michigan's three biggest rivals doesn't really have anything at all to do with Alabama or Clemson's recruiting.

I’m tired of the snobby arse B1G. In the past 9 years schools in their conference have:

•Killed a player
•Covered up their Assistant Coach beating his wife
•Covered up a coach sexually assaulting dozens of gymnasts
•Gotten caught covering up their assistant coach sexually assaulting 8 year olds
•Had a basketball coach abuse his players

And I’m supposed to believe these schools have the moral high ground. That they’d never pay players. That they’d never fix athletes grades. Bull fricking shite

I would be a Wisky fan if I didn't root for Bama. Their AD is geared towards fitting programs where their strengths are. Wisconsin doesn't produce alot of skill players (wrs, for ex.) so they build their offense/defense around what they're rich in (huge bodies).

Real shame to see Michigan in this position after Josh Gattis & Harbaugh ran their c*ckholsters all summer.
