That is a good one. It's the AJC one. It's been circulated a while back.

That was great - hadn't seen that angle before, thanks!!

Have watched this play 50 plus times but that angle sheds new light. I hadn't seen what a good move Smith initially made to get inside/past corner. In previous versions it looks like a better catch but in this version you can see the amazing combination of ball skills and acceleration of Smith. When he sees the ball in the air (looks overthrown) that MF'r takes OFF!

Also, this one shows both how badly beaten the corner was and how close that safety could have been.

Nothing against Smith, but it really wasn't that great of a move. Why that corner was playing a 5-yard out on 2nd & 26 is beyond me. That he bit on the out just makes it worse. Horrible defense. That play probably doesn't happen if he gives him a bigger cushion.

You're right but that's not as fun. Victors write history. My story is that it was an all time move by a true freshman wr on a corner with 50 starts, a true freshman QB fooled a safety with 40 starts, and an excellent block by a true freshman left tackle on a soon to be NFL end.

Looks great with the image of that trophy in the background.

I don't think he faked an out route. Looks to me Smith faked an outside release down the sideline before he put his foot down for an inside release. Parrish is actually doing the right thing. He is protecting the sideline because he is supposed to have safety help if the WR goes inside.

This angle really shows how much the safety bites on Tua's look to the right. The corner thought there would be a safety there, which is why he throws his hands up after the catch.

Definitely more accurate.

Not entirely. He's playing too tight for a 2nd & 26 play. He plays 5 yards back, Smith doesn't make that stab step outside to get around him. Sure, he thought he had safety help behind him, but it was also very poor situational awareness.

Very good point. I was just talking about how he played the route after the snap, not where he was lined up, which definitely has an impact. Good call.

Tua did a masterful job in looking off #26 and then throwing a dart before he could recover.
