I was pleased with everything except the offensive line. (Kicking was off but they aren’t easy makes and they were close) defense was great. Offensive line could not run block for most of the game and early on were getting tua hit a ton. Gotta clean that up

It shows how bad the kickers have been if we are saying close is a improvement.

I was actually impressed by the kicker, at least he looks like a real kicker. Those balls could have made it from 60 if they were a foot more inside

OL gets a C- only because Tua stayed mostly upright. Otherwise they were abysmal.

WR - Not graded. They wreck the curve for everyone else.

RB - B. I thought they ran hard but got no help from the OL.

QB - A. Missed a couple but made really good decisions all game.

DL - B+. Solid performance.

LB - A. Played way over their heads. Looked better than last year’s group.

DB - C. One of the PI flags was horsecrap but we still cannot cover the back shoulder. It will continue to bite us in the arse against good QBs like Lawrence.

Golding gets an A. Duke never got any consistency going. Sark started slowly but seemed to put it together nicely. I give home a B.

Saban also gets a B. He needs to throw a much better tantrum than that one when he earns a flag.

Overall a B+. Covered the spread, played a lot of subs, nobody got hurt. I’ll take it.

OL needs a lot of reps. 74 is still playing the role of Chris Capps. Others are just young/inexperienced. We’re definitely not a power rush team anymore.

Kicking will be fine. He had the distance. Hopefully this is was his version of Tiffin's Arkansas game.

I agree. He had enough leg to miss that first kick from 55 plus

Nobody can cover a well thrown back shoulder. We can't cover a jump ball back shoulder. That's a big difference.

He might have made it from that distance, it would have had the time it needed to turn inside.

Chris Capps

Do not bring him up. No one deserves that comparison.

He remains the only person at any level of football I've ever heard booed on his senior day.

Wills is 1,000,000 times better than Chris Capps. I think all of our scholarship OL on the team are better than Chris Capps

if i remember correctly? capps had a pretty good senior year. pendry worked some magic. i like a kid that hangs in there and improves in the face of adversity

Special teams was fine.

I'll never trust our kicker ever but his kicks looked like real kicker kicks and his only 2 shots were from 40+ and both hit the uprights. Kickoffs were fantastic. Punting was much better than last year.
