You're not listening to Coach Saban, then. He stated multiple times yesterday that the job is very much open, and the winner will be whoever wins the team over during fall camp.

Now, I fully expect that to be Tua, but you're reading more into what Gary Danielson says than what Coach Saban says.

Maybe settle it down a tick, CA. I don't have a dog in whatever past quarrels exist between the 2 of you, but Salsa has never treated me inappropriately, and just now he politely did a bit of board moderating, which is necessary, particularly in the lead up to the start of fall camp.

I may disagree in a small way about what constitutes a personal attack, but that's neither here nor there. A good board needs a bit of regulation and moderation so that all feel welcome and free to post, and so that no one dominates others or the discussion. I had rubbed enough people the wrong way that Salsa needed to nip things in the bud before they were a problem, and was maybe speaking to a few others as well - this is fine and good as I see it.

I have no problem with what he did or said. Another person joked about a ban, not Salsa. So maybe relax a bit because a bit of moderation is always necessary.

Additionally, I hope we all can set aside past quabbles and have a nice, informative season in 2018. Roll Tide.

This is the strictest board I've ever seen. If you're an overall quality poster there's never a reason for a ban threat. It's completely ridiculous.

I'm just saying that I've seen at least 4 quality posters be banned on here or get threatened, and I'm getting sick of it. I've never seen it on any other board. Sure, remove the trolls, and maniacs, but leave quality, intelligent posters alone. It's best if the mods post like normal people, and reserve their mod power for removing destructive posters who are destroying a board.

I don't think mods should be above criticism, nor should posters feel like they have to grovel at their feet

I've been to numerous football boards, some Bama and some not, and have seen many boards much more strictly moderated than this one.

Speaking for myself, no one affiliated with this board's moderation has ever once mentioned anything to me about a ban. Not once. Only a respectful warning, maybe 2 over a few years.

Again, just relax. Fall Camp starts in a few weeks and everyone associated with Louisville football deserves to die (metaphorically, of course). Focus your angst on them.
