Will transfer to Alabama after graduation in the summer. Has played both Tackle and Guard, but looks to be a Guard. Has stated that he wants to play Guard - FSU forced him to play some Tackle out of sheer need.

His reputation out of FSU is that he's talented, but has stayed injured most of his career.

FYI, he was a definite starter for Florida State this year if healthy.

Remember his recruitment, we were a solid #2 to FSU. Also remember his comments before the 2017 game - oof

Seems like a solid take as a transfer. Clearly a Top 25 program quality lineman when healthy and has a lot of versatility. Can never have too many of those guys in the trenches.

Hope he's not part of the reason for how crappy FSU's O-Line has been the past 3 years.

You can’t have enough quality linemen. Still a head scratcher with the depth on paper.

Bama did have two extra spots from this year's recruiting class.

Is Elliot Baker still on the team?

Baker has never entered the transfer portal. The other player listed is your link, McDonald did. He transferred to Cincinnati.

Does Dickerson still have a redshift year?

Since he spent 3 years in Tallahassee, and has 2 remaining years of eligibility upon transferring, I assume that means he has already used his Redshirt.

One of the major reasons that FSU's Oline was crappy was a myriad of injuries, which he certainly contributed to. But no, his play was not bad. He had a nice freshman season but had it cut short by injury, and then spent most of the next 2 years injured.

An FSU fan joked on reddit that Dickerson injured his wrist while entering his name into the Transfer Portal.

With the OLine class just signed and the current depth, this is a scratcher. This guy has been injured every year for 3 years, heck missed one entire season to injury. Seems he was only healthy for most of his freshman year and after that....

I agree with you. I get the feeling that he just likes the environment and coaching staff in Tuscaloosa and would rather compete here than go to a place that might have a better chance of playing time where he is less "comfortable." Regardless of if he plays or contributes I hope he is able stay healthy moving forward. Good luck to him.

That's a big'ol boy! It's always good to get Olinemen with a little maturity...it's rare to find freshmen and sophs who are physically ready for PT.

Our staff wouldn’t bring him in if they didn’t think he could compete with our current guys. Reality is Brown is suspended and Womack has never really played guard. This guy could come in a push for that spot.

I like it. If (although it’s a pretty big if) he can stay healthy he could step in and start at either guard position. If he can’t stay healthy or get on the field, oh well, there are certainly worse players on the team taking scholarships. It’s easily worth the risk imo.
