Landon dickerson on jox...

What a guy. Basically packed his travel bag and snuck it to miami. Went to saban and asked if he could dress. Saban said you can dress. Then he says "well, I'm already dressed, might as well go out and warm up so he did. He tried to convince saban and Dr. Cain he could play but they wouldn't let him. Cain said "if we're up by 28 you can go in", thinking it would never happen.

I was only half listening, but at the end Cole was acting a little strange, talking about hoping he/they hadn't messed up anything with public relations, related to the press conference later for declaring players.

Did something get mentioned early?

I remember when he transferred from FSU, and everyone was wondering why we took him.

Landon had some really bad injury luck at Free Shoes. Tore an ACL and two bad ankle injuries.

He said he tried to go in to play with around 7 minutes left. What is he made of? The fact he even thought he could go out and block is beyond me.

He also said his surgery was an ACL reconstruction. Not a simple repair. Which I think means they pulled a tendon from somewhere else to rebuild the ACL.

My Dad was telling me that he heard an interview with I believe Dr. Cain on JOX Tuesday. He basically said that they told Dickerson he couldn't play, but said that they told Dickerson if Alabama ends up in a situation where they're doing victory formation, that he could go snap for that.

The obvious reason he choose 69 as his number makes me laugh every time.

He's definitely up there on my list of favorite Bama players. He's a great center, a team leader, totally crazy, and triggers the shite out of the corndogs. He's literally everything you want a Bama lineman to be.

Wasn’t he selected one of the team captains? Says a lot about him and his impact on the team.

There's always that guy on every men's slow-pitch softball team.

Yes, he was voted by his teammates as a permanent team captain, which means his prints will be cemented outside of Denny Chimes.

He was also selected as Outstanding Senior Scholar, Most Inspiring Player, and received both the Iron Man and President's Award:

Landon Dickerson

Permanent Team Captain
To the players elected by their teammates as permanent team captains (voted on by the players)

Outstanding Senior Scholar
To the senior with the highest GPA

Most Inspiring Player
To the player who affects the whole team by his attitude as well as his performance (voted on by the players)

Iron Man Award
To the player(s) who have shown the most dedication to the individual and team goals of the Crimson Tide's year-round strength and conditioning program

President's Award
To a player from each unit who has shown perseverance in making outstanding contributions to the team's success

He called Dickerson "former Alabama offensive lineman."

He should use his balls for the imprint.
