Freddie frickin Kitchens is a head coach in the NFL. Who the hell would have thought that in 1996 (I say that as the #1 all-time Freddie Kitchens fan).

Good on ya Fat Freddie. Give um hell.

Good for him. He is in a great spot at the moment. Hope he does well in Cleveland.

I think he's going Tom do a nice job, especially by Cleveland standards

Proud of him. Surprised the Browns didn't hire Gregg Williams.

That's awesome!

Was he the one puking in the trash can at halftime after getting concussed?

In 1995 he got knocked out at Brothers Bar in Jacksonville, then arrested for PI... Good times.

Might have been Pelham's, my memory is fuzzy.

Freddie was one of my best friends growing up before he went to Etowah and I went to another high school. I could share a lot of cool stories like us winning a talent show together in the 5th grade. I never imagined he would go on to quarterback the university of Alabama and then become a head coach in the NFL. Unbelievable. Roll Tide to Freddie, guy could probably still over throw Usain Bolt.

And Jimmy Haslam now has a Bama grad coaching his pro team...and his college team.

Glad Freddie got an opportunity, good to see one of our own reach the top. Lot of WTF hires going on in the NFL be interesting to see who among them succeeds.
Anyone surprised Mike Shula never got a sniff after being OC for so many years?

Kitchens earned it, he turned that Browns offense around. Prob. the best hire outside of Bucs getting Arians (who the Browns passed over, btw.).

Very few NFL HCs last in their gig over six years, so Kitchens coming back home would be a nice option after Dabo turns us down. Matt Campbell is still my dream pick so far.

Seems he did well with the chance he got (there in Cleveland) and hope he hires well and they draft well and he can take this chance and make a name/opportunity for himself.

Cleveland seems to be set with some good yound talent for a while (dont care for Mayfield, but he seems to be a winner?)
