For the first time in 24 years I will not be actively watching an Alabama football game

In 24 years I have not missed an Alabama game whether in person, on TV or streaming online.
I have been able to watch Alabama football all across the world (Middle East, South Korea, Europe) throughout my time in high school, college and the military. Yes, sometimes the quality of the broadcast was shite and it was 3 AM for me, but I got it done.
Well, that streak apparently ends tonight.
My wife's friend, no pics, invited us to her birthday party tonight at our local rodeo here in Texas. At 6 PM.
I guess it could be worse. At least it's not a wedding.

Damn Saint. My wife pretty much guilts me into most things but she knows not to push it for me missing a Game

I'm holding out hope they will have a TV at the rodeo. No one seems to know. There is a restaurant at the place so they may have a bar area with games on.
If not, I'll be following along on here and the Score app, assuming that piece of shite doesn't go down like last weekend.

Yeah.
I have Hulu Live so I can watch on my phone if the reception is good.
I just don't want to be the dick on his phone all night long.

I use the Score also, but if it does crash, the Bleacher Report app is a pretty legit replacement. ESPN's is still terrible.

I strategically proposed at a time I knew was too late to plan a fall wedding but was early enough in the year that my wife wouldn't want to wait until the following fall and turn into one of those couples who are engaged for the better part of 2 years.

And to make this even more self absorbed they actually got married last year on the same date at a small ceremony (30-40 people) last year on the same date. But these COVID “brides” (hard to call her a bride after being married for a full year) are nuts.
