Apologies for getting worked up over the numbers issue in the other thread on Wednesday.

No problem, bro. Thanks. I wasn't trying to be disrespectful to your thoughts and opinions on the numbers. But I can see why it appeared to you that I was. My bad. Sorry.

Have heard five-star QB Bryce Young has already put on at least 10 pounds since arriving at Alabama in early January. Sounds like he’s now up in the 190 range.

This thread has yet to have been infused with Cobra luck. What is up with that? Shouldn't it have a high end good luck jib that sets up strong mojo for the year?

It was the straw and not the camel. Lots of social media and other message board arguments before I went off on you. Just hating the negativity I was seeing elsewhere after signing tremendous class.

Gabe is a recruit that my insiders are saying we have a great chance with. It’s fluid though

re: Football Recruiting & Roster
After historically bad 2020 cycle, can USC bounce back in 2021? (247Sports)

What's next for USC: The Portal (247/USC)
quote:

Nigel Knott

National Signing Day was a national signing disaster for many Trojan fans Wednesday, but USC is still not done adding to the class of 2020. While USC awaits word on Boise State commit Cade Fennegan, the transfer portal will be a source for at least two more additions to the team.

With the Trojans striking out on Dublin (Ohio) four-star running back Michael Drennen II, tailback is a position USC could venture into the portal after. Former five-star and Penn State sophomore running back Ricky Slade entered the portal this week, but team sources indicate that the two most pressing positions USC is considering will be offensive tackle and defensive back.

New defensive coordinator Todd Orlando ran a lot of three-man fronts with Dime personnel using three safeties, so defensive backs are a premium for his defense.

At the cornerback position, USC recruited Nigel Knott out of high school before he signed with Alabama. USC also recruited Oklahoma cornerback Jordan Parker heavily out of Pittsburg (Calif.). Parker played a decent amount of snaps at Oklahoma and is eligible to play immediately.

The other obvious move for USC is to hunt down an upperclassmen offensive tackle in the portal. While USC signed six offensive linemen in the 2020 class, starting a freshman three-star offensive tackle to protect your prized quarterback is risky. Yet, USC has no offensive tackles on the depth chart with starting experience.

That’s a product of only signing four offensive linemen in two years. Only one of those players, Jason Rodriguez, is even remotely capable of playing offensive tackle.

re: Football Recruiting & Roster
Just tryin' to help Nigel out. Kendall Randolph and Brian Robinson could transfer there with him and all three could probably be starters. #FightOn

re: Football Recruiting & Roster
Yep! We have some guys that should get in the Portal soon, before the late spring rush. USC might be a better option than Ole Miss for some. That said, Kiffin has assembled a pretty good staff: Here is your Lane Kiffin Ole Miss coaching staff tracker (SBN)

I would love to see Knott at USC....but I would hate for us to have to abuse him to open the season .
