Believe the CB's for Flowe have him 100% to USCw

Would be a great get if Bama were to be able to get both Flowe Bros.

Yeah, I wonder if we can twerk something with the Flowe brothers because I have to think if USC doesn't improve Helton will be gone and we might be able to make some moves.

Looks like Ale Kaho just retired from football. He posted on twitter “Football....it’s been real” and locked his account (which makes it where I can’t link it.)

maybe just needing some time to "deal" maybe he should redshirt this year and take the summer off to deal...seems like a better solution than just giving it up

DB Jahquez Robinson (6-2, 174, Jacksonville, FL. Sandalwood) was one of those guys on campus and he liked the laid back atmosphere at the event. “Just keeping doing what they’re doing,” he said on what Florida needs to do in his recruitment.

Alabama commit spends time at GGGO bonding with Gray By Mark Wheeler More from Mark May 18, 2019

This is beginning to sound like a broken record, but Jacksonville (Fla.) Sandalwood cornerback Jahquez Robinson? – an Alabama commit – was once again on Florida's campus on Saturday.

Alabama Football News Alabama’s Jerry Jeudy spending his offseason with superstar NFL receiver By Stephen M. Smith

quote:

He is serious about being a top-five pick in next year’s NFL Draft and with the way he’s been training this offseason, Jerry Jeudy is looking at being the No. 1 overall pick.

After a sophomore campaign that saw him emerge with the Fred Biletnikoff Award and consensus All-American status, the former five-star is learning tools from one of the best receivers in the pros.

Jeudy was with Antonio Brown of the Oakland Raiders on Saturday, as the two Florida natives along with others got some work in on the track.

Brown was selected in the sixth round of the 2010 draft; however, he became a seven-time Pro Bowler, four-time selection for first-team All-Pro, two-time leader in receptions and receiving yards for the league and the NFL’s leader in touchdown receptions in 2018. He was a star for the Pittsburgh Steelers in seven of nine seasons — since coming out of Central Michigan – including a monster year in 2015 with him posting career highs in catches (136) and receiving yards (1,834).

Jeudy already had a relationship with Tua Tagovailoa before both arrived at Alabama in 2017; nevertheless, the duo was unstoppable last season.

The man known for his juke moves led the Crimson Tide in receptions (68), yards (1,315) and scores (14) as he helped the team win its sixth Southeastern Conference Championship of the Nick Saban era.

Per a few Way-Too-Early draft boards, Jeudy projects as a top-five guy but Mel Kiper Jr. has him at No. 1 for 2020.

Once Wright finds a position, I think he'll be a stud. Personally hoping as an athletic SAM.

We have a dozen freaks at OLB either on the team now, or that we already have committed or are after heavily.

Mike or Will LB.... PLEASE.

Just don't prefer tall ILBs, they are built more spread out than compact. Causes a lot of them to be tackle "absorbers" that lose on contact than impact tacklers.

I might prefer over it safety, which is where they have initially told him...

Well, we've had a pretty good track record with them with Hightower, Rolando, and Rashaan Evans. Generally, I understand what you're saying, but I'd be surprised (after watching his film) if Wright isn't a good college ILB, especially in coverage.

I mean.. it's (OLB) kind of like OGs a couple years ago. Do we really need 23 of them?

Rolando is the only guy that played above 6-3, Evans and Hightower were 6-2 or less at the Combine. And Ro was an anomaly for a dying type. He was BIG for a ILB in general, while having solid range.

Wasn't a coverage knock, as mentioned currently being recruited as a DB, but as a tackler. Save Ro, taller LBs are absorbers more often than contact tacklers. Takes a certain build, like a Foster or Devin White that mirrors almost a big RB.

Doesn't mean Wright can't be an effective ILB, but considering the handwringing over the position, you'd think they have to find a superstar.

Well, until they find a passrush from the spot? Potential just means you haven't done anything yet.

As good as it was at times last season, it disappeared at times it was needed the most...

To be fair, losing Terrell Hall, Chris Allen, and Christian Miller to injuries didn’t help.

For sure, it was wild the amount of injuries.

Another reason to stockpile at a certain spot, you never know what can happen and who you can trust(to not break down).

I love the hybrid spot, I really like seeing a well rounded player there. Really hope a guy like Anoma takes to Sunseri's tutelage like a fish to water.

Same with Anfernee Jennings, he's really good at a lot of things, but he could take one aspect to the next level.

Nobody said it was.

That actually surprises me. Some of those combine heights must be taken by drilling the top of the measuring stick an inch into people's scalps. I've measured my entire adult like at around 6'4". I've stood next to Hightower. He sure looked taller than 6'2".

Our two best pass rushers were done for the year with injuries. Our fourth best pass rusher (Jennings) still didn't have the explosiveness back from his injury in 2017. Our 5th best pass rusher (Anoma) was too light, too green, and didn't have a clue what he was supposed to be doing out there, leaving only one guy (Miller) who also constantly battled injuries. Don't you think that was a little bit of an extreme anomaly (to any situation other than an annual Alabama LB injury situation, that is)? Edit note - I see your response to The Drake above this.

It's being said by many around the program that a fair comparison for Wright is Christian Harris. Granted, Wright is a couple inches taller. I understand your point about the general prototype, but there are many exceptions to this.

There are (and have been in recent years) several ILBs in the NFL 6'3" and taller. Mcclain, Kiko Alonso, Cushing, Karlos Dansby, Kuechly, Derrick Johnson all currently. In recent years, Urlacher. Most of these guys aren't just run stuffers. They can cover, and would be tremendous against the Spread.
