Five-star sets Alabama official visit (BamaOnLine-VIP)
quote:
Five-star athlete Darnell Washington, a top priority tight end target for a number of programs, has locked in an official visit to Alabama for the LSU game, his coach Dominic Hill tells BamaOnLine.
The Crimson Tide joins Georgia with set official visit dates for the Las Vegas (Nev.) Desert Pines product. Washington will return to Athens for the Notre Dame game next month...

What are the chances of getting Washington and Gilbert? Seems like 1 is the most likely but we need help at the TE position.

Unlikely both will go to the same school. At this juncture, I'm feeling like we'll get Gilbert. Even if Forristall (RS Jr) leaves, we'd still have Tennison, Latu, Billingsley, Parker, Gilbert and maybe Clark. Pretty dang good TE room. And we're in the thick of it for some good 2021 TE prospects.

4-Star WR, Ketron Jackson, ‘definitely considering’ Alabama
2021 4-Star wide receiver, Ketron Jackson, took an unofficial visit to Tuscaloosa on July 14, where the junior wide receiver got a chance to take a deeper look at Alabama’s football program.

Jackson attends Lancaster High School in Lancaster, Texas. The 4-Star wideout is 6-1 and weighs 175 pounds. Jackson said his visit to Tuscaloosa gave him and his family a chance to connect with Alabama’s staff.
“It was great,” Jackson said. “I love talking with them and the position coach (Holmon Wiggins) held a great meeting with my family and me.”
Alabama offered Jackson on Jan. 17. Jackson also holds offers from SEC programs: Texas A&M, LSU, Arkansas and Ole Miss. Most of Jackson’s Summer was spent running track, which allowed him to take only a few visits.

Jackson said he enjoyed seeing what Alabama has to offer. during his visit.
“They have great facilities and I love the competition and work ethic of their football players,” Jackson said.
The offer list for Jackson is expected to get longer as there is still plenty of time left in his recruitment. It is safe to say Alabama is in a good position with Jackson as he said they are definitely in the race for his commitment.
“They are a winning team and that is no doubt,” Jackson said. “They compete at the highest level and succeed at it. They are definitely a place I am considering playing, not only because of their success but because of the great coaching staff on hand.”
Jackson has explosive speed in the open field, which is the part of his game that translates to the track. Lancaster High school attempted to get him in open space as much as possible during his sophomore season. The Texas product is expected to play an even bigger role in their offense this upcoming season.
Alabama’s 2021 recruiting class has two commits currently in Latrell McCutchin and Drake Maye. The Tide will look to capitalize on their solid relationship with Jackson.

Bone saying Evans to uga...
Evans has late cycle flip written all over him. The tears will be delicious.

Agree 100%. I don't see any way they both end up at UGA and Evans seems like the more mercurial of the two.

Bone doesn't know jack about where Evans is most likely to commit and sign. I doubt he's ever talked to him and I doubt it'll be UGA. Imo, UA, LSU and ATM are all more likely than UGA is to land him.
ETA: If UGA truly needs another RB along with Milton, I think they'll regret not pushing for and taking 4-star RB Tank Bigsby 6-0/210 GA hudl.

I too got the feeling Bone has no clue regarding Evans but since Evans is a stud and people want to know the latest on the kid Bone is just throwing something out there.

Bone is right this time. He's likely to commit to UGag soon, for some weird reason.
I do expect him to eventually wind up at Bama or A&M on NSD.

Zachary Evans on Aug 12th (VIP) -- "Nothing's changed. We're just still planning it through with these colleges, just seeing what they're talking about. I had said I want to commit and if I was to commit I would commit like next month. I can't though. It's not part of the plan... I don't really have any specific day yet. That's why I said we're still just kind of sorting everything out. I want to take my officials first... Georgia, Alabama, LSU, that's all I know right now. I don't know about the other two. A&M will most likely get one."
