I agree with the resentment about these seemingly 'soft'/half-baked commitments. Last year we had the Vernon Jackson-Quay Walker fiasco. Last December NSD1 started with Dax Hill decommitting. On NSD2 we had Bogle, even if we all saw that one coming. It's no fun. I wish these kids would be clear: if you're not sure, don't commit. If you start doubting, decommit. Don't wait.
However, we must also take into account that recruits are 17-18 year old kids. They face tremendous pressure from their parents and peers, from social media, from their own coaches, from recruiters who feed them misinformation and lies. No wonder that they can't see the wood for the trees after a while. That's just the way it is.

I’m sort of, of the mind that kids shouldn’t commit until they can sign papers. If they are sure, let them sign whenever they are ready. Guys like Pierce Quick could have signed his papers last summer. Why wait? You commit, you sign. Not ready to sign? Fine, but you are not committed and we aren’t committed to you yet as a program either. All the fanfare and attention whoring around commitments and decommitments is way old and super lame.

what a retarded thing to say
We tend to forget that these kids are in fact kids. They’re 17/18 years old that are easily influenced and the only thing they’re “committed” to is playing Fortnite and chasing tail.

Talking about influencing: apparently one of the reasons why Dax Hill all of a sudden flipped to Bama was that Karl Scott had told him Jim Harbaugh was leaving for the NFL. Once Harbaugh had made it clear that this was not the case Hill flipped back to Michigan. All part of the game called recruiting.

The fact that Harbaugh is staying at UM should be enough reason to flip to Bama. That guy has been the biggest underachiever in college sports the last 5 years.

Was Go Blue Jim and UM so desperate for headlines that they actually played a part in the flip from Bama to UM? Speaks of just how pathetic the family of Hill and Jim are these days. 15 minutes of fame are then back to what your record says you are.

Man i hope we get in on Wright. He has some impressive ball skills. Could see him playing the same spot as Jennings but dropping back in coverage more.

Jayson Jones -- Hank: "I think despite what he says he's pretty solid with Alabama. That's my opinion though from talking to people." Top BOL insider: "Bama fans shouldn't worry about what he says publicly."
Arik Gilbert -- Hank thinks we have a legit shot. "He was in communication with Jeff Banks all throughout the fall." A good insider: "Bama and Clemson are most definitely in it for Gilbert. Not a UGA lock like some think."

Julian Fleming
Fleming's girlfriend goes to Penn State.
Slade Bolden can hook him up at Bama tho.

Alabama signed just one wide receiver in 2019 and just two in 2018. With upcoming NFL Draft decisions following the 2019 season, the Crimson Tide will certainly need to add some depth at the position with its 2020 recruiting class.
We've already seen the Tide staff go hard at the position, adding a pair of commitments from two of the nation's top pass catchers Dazalin Worsham and Javon Baker, but it's not stopping there.
The nation's No. 1 wideout Julian Fleming is a top targets of UA's, and on Saturday night the Catawissa (Pa.) Southern Columbia star included the Tide among his top schools.
"I would like to thank every coaching staff that has given me an opportunity to play at the next level, and also thank them for the tips and guidance they have provided me to this point," Fleming tweeted. "With that being said I have narrowed down my future home to one of six schools, and am only focusing on these six schools."
The 5-star prospect went on to list: Clemson, Ohio State, Georgia, Alabama, Oregon and Penn State (no order).
Fleming had been recruited by former wide receivers coach Josh Gattis before he departed for Michigan. The Tide does not look to be adversely affected by the change.
The 6-foot-3, 210-pound wideout visited Tuscaloosa last spring and will likely return in the coming months.
It should be noted, Alabama landed Fleming's quarterback Stone Hollenbach as a preferred walk-on in the 2019 class. Hollenbach is working on helping the Tide add his former teammate.
Fleming's girlfriend goes to Penn State.
Slade Bolden can hook him up at Bama tho.
