Just guessing on the position needs for this class.

DL- 3
OL- 3
DB- 4
WR- 4
LB- 5
TE- 2
QB- 2
RB- 2

For QB, Bama might not take two pure QB players, but one a player that can play QB and another position. Kinda like Story.

Any extra spots go to another DL or LB.

Looks pretty good. This Roster (link is on the 2nd line of this thread's 1st post) helps in projecting 2020 class position needs. I just now finished adding projected needs numbers to the 2020 Top Targets Board (this thread's 2nd post).

The consenus was that we could take 29-30 in the 2019 class without blue or grayshirts. So, since we only signed 27, I'm projecting (for now) that we can take 25-28 in the 2020 class. That can change depending on 2019 class additions, incoming transfers, voluntary withdrawals, etc.

As that projected Roster for the 2019 season shows, we'll have room for the 27 players in the 2019 class within the 85 total counters limit.

Anyone up enough on 2020 to know what the general thought is on it's WR crop? As in, strong year for for WRS?

Definitely interested in what they do at QB, since I get the early feeling that Beck is staying in Florida(could definitely be wrong).

Do they circle back to DJ Uiagalelei? He's a monster physically, but the talk was Beck passed circles around him.

Someone named their child Demon, or is that just his nickname?

There was a news article about Demon Clowney some years ago and him being related to Jadevon (spelling is likely wrong) Clowney. I'll try to find it. I think this is it. LINK

After the number taken this week, I will never dispute Surge's # crunching. (I still show a large number of guys who will need to hit the Portal and step away before June.)..
Looking over Surge's 1st page analysis (which will be updated thru out the year)
quote:

Receivers & Tight Ends (5-6)
4* WR Dazalin Worsham 6-2/180 AL
4* WR Javon Baker 6-1/175 GA
3* TE Caden Clark 6-4/245 OH

4* WR Jermaine Burton 6-1/193 CA
5* WR Julian Fleming 6-3/205 PA
4* WR JJ Evans 6-2/185 AL
5* WR Rakim Jarrett 6-0/185 DC
4* TE DJ Rogers 6-4/240 WA
5* TE Arik Gilbert 6-5/248 GA

Noting that all of these guys are 6'-0" or better. Hoping the new WR coach is a wonder at recruiting and can snag a couple of these 5*'s (yes, I for one have been spoiled with the talent from the last year)

I thought Saint said we could have taken 2 more so those should be available for 2020.

I believe there are Initial Counter spots that were not used and then there are the Voluntary Withdrawals...
Surge is the Expert with these (you can also read thru the info he maintains on Page One) I have read thru most of it and I just do as you and ask Surge what the count is. Between now and the summer (after the end of practice conversations) players will determine with the coaches if their futures are connected to being on the Bama team or not.

Completely off topic... JOX 3 Man Front just announced that Big Game Bob is back in Football - Head coach of the new XFL Dallas Franchise. (wonder if he will snag the new D Analysis from Alabama)
