If the father of Kendall Milton thinks this idiot on twitter has anything to do with the University then there’s not much we can do about it...he would be a fool.
I have to agree, though. The tweet from UGA reeked of desperation and it is indeed in bad taste. I don’t like it. It’s almost as bad as naming yourself on twitter after a high school recruit...

Apologies if this had been detailed before, but what exactly did they do to get suspended?

* Phenix City (Ala.) Central wide receiver EJ WIlliams will take an official visit to Auburn on Wednesday and follow it with an official to Alabama over the weekend. The in-state powers, along with Clemson, LSU and Tennessee, are the programs he says are in it as his anticipated August 24 decision draws near. Williams spent time at Auburn's 7-on-7 camp late last week following an LSU official visit and camp stop at Clemson. The 247Sports Crystal Ball is 100 percent for the defending national champions.

* Javon Baker considers himself a strong Alabama commitment but continues to take visits and consider other programs. The Powder Springs (Ga.) McEachern standout also just added an offer from the in-state Georgia Bulldogs, one he says he will consider before signing. Tennessee, where he recently spent time, as well as Florida appear to be additional options as Baker evaluates his recruitment. He does not plan on shutting things down entirely or making a final decision any time soon.

Fellow Alabama commitment Malachi Moore is on the other side of the process. The Trussville (Ala.) Hewitt-Trussville defensive back says he's "probably" done taking trips to campuses outside of Tuscaloosa despite communication with Georgia, LSU and Tennessee on a consistent basis. Sporting a script "A" Alabama logo for an earring all weekend, the All-American Bowl selection seems locked in with Nick Saban and company.

Auburn has held the commitment of Montevallo (Ala.) wide receiver J.J. Evans since February and that pledge is strong, at "95 percent" according to the Top247 talent. Alabama, which has hosted him several times, as well as Tennessee are a pair keeping tabs on the big pass catcher. He is considering an official visit to one of those programs as early as next week and/or weekend.

* Among the most coveted inside linebacker types in the class of 2020, Rodney Groce says his top three are Alabama, Auburn and Oklahoma. Admittedly close to picking Auburn this spring, he wants to see Norman for the first time before making a decision. That official visit is likely to be scheduled for the season and now the Pleasant Grove (Ala.) rising-senior recruit is in no rush to make a final decision.

* Elite class of 2021 wide receiver and Seffner (Fla.) Armwood star Agiye Hall admits his first impression of Alabama, at a camp last week, exceeded his expectations. He would like to return to Tuscaloosa for another visit, while programs like Clemson, Texas and others await an initial visit from the Polynesian Bowl All-Star. The defending champs offered last week and Hall says the news was long awaited. We expect the Tigers to be a factor for Hall all the way through the process, one he has no plans on ending as an underclassman.

“(Alabama) wants to see how I perform at camp and then everything else,” Robinson told 247Sports' Grant Ramey. "We’ll talk about after (camp) on the 22nd.”
Per Ramey, Robinson is opting to camp at Alabama instead of take an official visit to Missouri.

So, if we finished Smalls/Evans/Washington/Grimes/Anderson/Story and Wright looked elsewhere
- 25 commits
- 315.80 team score
- 94.7 avg

I don't think it was PEDs. Failing a test for PEDs would keep them out all season (like the Clemson guys). I believe it was failing a test for recreational drugs.

I'm a bit puzzled by the FSU OL transfer, Dickerson. He's a former 5-star, which is great. But he has also shown to be consistantly injury prone. Usually, athletes (whether they play football, basketball, hockey or whatever) who are injury prone, stay injury prone. That is just their physical state. Hence, unless the Alabama medical department and/or Scott Cochran can work a miracle Dickerson will most likely stay injury prone.
Now perhaps I'm wrong or misinformed, but my understanding is that if/when he signs with Alabama, he will count against the 2019/20 class. That means the amount of players we can sign decreases.
My question is: why would we give a spot to a talented player who has shown time and again that he either can't get or can't stay on the field? High risk, high reward? A desperate need for O-linemen? Or is there some kind of escape clause?

I think he only counts against the 85 but I could be wrong.

I think he back counts, right? I thought I read that basically adding him in puts our 2018/2019 total at 50 (25 * 2 yrs). But I don't remember the specifics on what yrs can be added together and all that.

My post from the prior page:
Note: Dickerson is listed on the 2019 Signing Class post (4th) in this thread, but recruiting sights won't include him in the 2019 class score since he was originally rated/ranked in the 2016 class. Ordinarily, transfers do count against annual siging and initial counter limits. However, Bama may be able to treat him as a replacement for Elliot Baker (who withdrew from the team with remaining elligibility) under the Voluntary Withdrawal Replacement Exception rule. If so, he would only count toward the 85 limit, but not toward annual limits. This Note (link is on the 1st line of the 2019 Signing Class post) explains Bama's numbers situation, as well as the aforementioned exception rule. Typically, Bama doesn't disclose that kind of information, so we may not be able to figure out until February whether he cost us an annual limits spot that could otherwise be used to take a 2020 recruit.
