The SEC Recruiting board is where you should go to discuss recruiting with fans of any other teams -- SEC Recruiting ~ Zach Evans thread. Any Bama fans who care what you or other UGA fans have to say about recruiting can easily go read the Georgia board recruiting thread or the SEC Recruiting board any time they want to.

Sorry man. There's always been a mutual respect between UGA fans and Tide fans in the recruiting threads. I've brought information here when I have it, especially about players that UGA isn't in on. I'll post it on the other boards since that's what you prefer

So why are we pissy about other people on this board if they bring relevant info? I thought that was common, but obviously something has changed.

Sorry. I should've worded my initial post more politely and explained my concerns in it too:
I have no problem with you bringing info you're pretty sure Bama fans care about and pretty sure we don't have. But that post was nothing more than your opinion, which I doubt many Bama fans care much about. And like I said, if they do care, they know where to find it or ask for it.
A number of UGA fans have posting privileges on this board. All it takes it one Bama fan to diss on your opinion post and your dawg pack will rush in here to defend you. The SECrb is overrun with that problem. I prefer to avoid that happenning in here, as it has before. Just asking you to be appropriately mindful of what you post in here.
ETA: We've had that problem in here a few times with UGA fans, but not other fanbases.

I can stop posting info from BOL if you want. Maybe you'd like to open up this thread for all fans of other teams to post their homerific opinions in it. Then it'd have lots of the trollish banter that you seem to like, since that's mainly what you engage in on the SECrb.

The guy had posting privileges here, and he broke no rules with his comment. If you don’t want that maybe you should take it up with the mods about fans of other teams posting here. You just look like a little board nazi

I've never said I don't want him or other teams' fans posting in here. I clealy explained why he and other UGA fans should be "appropriately mindful of what" they post in here.
I do occasionally post remarks to promote and support this board's and thread's primary purpose. I think most Bama fan posters and lurkers want this recruiting thread to be a place where they can easily stay informed about and discuss Bama FB recruiting, without it having excessive clutter that interferes with that. But most also want it to be reasonably relaxed regarding occasionally veering off topic in small doses, posting some funny, etc. in here too. Such remarks that I've posted have all been aimed at achieving that reasonable balance. That's all.
If you can't see or undertand that intent, and don't support it, then it's best if you just accept that we disagree and let it go.

Alford was recently trending to ATM, but in the last several days it's shifted to Texas. I noted that on the latest Timelines post. I didn't bother making a separate post about that shift since it was already widely known he was highly unlikely to commit to Bama. In hind site, I should have, especially since it's probably better for us that Alford chose Texas over ATM.

If you go look at the SEC recruiting board you will see that threads get derailed by one post on a regular basis. I think Lew has recently tried to steer it back to recruiting but over the past few months threads have just turned into a pecker measuring contest.

This thread really wouldn’t exists if it wasn’t for Surge.. it’s kinda his playground.. He hardly ever goes off the rails, so I figure it must have good reason behind it. We had a issue last year with a UGA poster, he posted on here random opinions then went to the rant and started crap..(mountain something)
