Every commitment in Alabama's 2020 class (BamaOnLine)
quote:

It's been quite the summer for the Alabama football staff. The Crimson Tide staff added seven big pieces to its 2020 class, vaulting Bama to the No. 2 spot in the 247Sports Composite Team Recruiting Rankings.

Nick Saban and company have gained ground on Clemson in the No. 1 spot, a program many didn't believe could be overtaken in the cycle on the recruiting trail after the commitments the Tigers gained to close out the spring.

With the new additions came a couple of losses. Both De'Rickey Wright and Dazalin Worsham de-committed from the program last month.

Aside from the 2020 class, the Tide also added their first commitments in 2021 via pledges from four-star cornerback Latrell McCutchin and four-star quarterback Drake Maye.

BamaOnLine catches you up on each commitment currently in the Tide's 2020 class, and their latest ranking among other details. Take a look
.

Once that kid Baker gets in the strength program and also maybe work with a speed coach just on straight line coming out the block's.He gonna be a like a T.Owens type problem for Db's to handle..But I want Henderson more than any player left on the board outside of Sanders..

We've got three very good WR commits in Baker, Holden and Jones-Bell. TJB is very fast, but we need to add at least one, hopefully a couple, of these speedsters: Henderson, Smith, Boutte, Burton, Robinson.

I am not certain about this, but I believe (based on comments from Rodney Orr) that Henderson is the #3 WR target on the board, behind Boutte and Burton. Both are L8U commits that we think can be flipped.

Coach O made a good hire in getting Mickey Joseph to replace Raymond. He gonna do well in state recruiting wise.
So it's gonna be interesting to see if they can flip Kayshon Boutte. Now flipping Burton might be the easier being that he's a OOS kid.
If Henderson is 3rd(wow),as we must really like Boutte with Henderson checking in at at 6-3 1/2 and some nice highlights .

We should be able to flip at least one of the LSU WR commits. LSU couldn't even do significant damage with Jarvis Landry and Odell Beckham playing WR at the same time.

I've never been in love with those big WRs unless the guy is truly a dynamic athlete.

Surge what is your projection for the remaining spots for this class?

I have:

Young - flip from USC
McClellan - flip from OU
Ricks - flip from LSU
Burton/Boutte/Jarrett - any or all flip from LSU
Roy - flip from LSU after he commits, decommits and then commits to LSU again

If we have decommits we could also add:

Sampah - flip from LSU, if by the end of this season he shows improved 4th dimensional flexibility and has memorized all the lyrics to Old Town Road. (Saban loves that song)
Washington, Burch, or Bresee - if space is available

Looks good, except I think McClellan stays at OU after Evans to Bama goes public, Jarrett goes somewhere besides LSU or Bama and Bresee sticks with CU. I think Flowe could take our last ILB spot; plus Webb, Banks and Harris are all ahead of Sampah on our LB board. Bama will make room for Burch and Washington or Gilbert.

ETA: I could be wrong, but I don't think LSU has the OL needed to win the SEC West or make it to the CFP. LSU has set very high expectations that they'll have a very prolific, high-scoring offense this season and beyond. How well they finish this recruiting class depends quite a bit on whether that comes to fruition against their toughest opponents, along with how much pronise their backup/future QB shows. And who knows, maybe Aranda gets a HC job offer he can't refuse, like USC or FSU.

Why do you think Burton will flip? It’s a wait and see approach with/if Joe Brady makes a difference at all.

Donell Harris -- very likely to reclassify from 2021 to 2020.

Would Harris play ILB or are you just saying at this time they would take him as an OLB over Sampah at ILB?

Double your fun:

2021 4* CB/S Kamar Wilcoxson 6-2/190 GA hudl

Wilcoxon is a teammate of Bama commit 2020 4* S Javier Morton. Wilcoxon wanted to commit to the Tide right after camping at Bama in June 2018, but that was so early he was asked to hold off. He commited to UF in Nov and decommitted in Mar. Morton isn't expected to sign with Bama and he's being recruited by and considering UF. Wilcoxon will be at Bama's Champion's Cookout next weekend and is on commit watch.

Double back flip ~ with a twist !!
