So Fleming decided to commit to Ohio State and Ryan Day over Alabama and Nick Saban because he needs someone to coach him?
ETA: The Ohio State WR coach is Brian Hartline. He has one year of coaching experience as an on the field coach. Last year as an interim at OSU.
Ohio State has had considerable recent coaching staff turnover, including their new inexperienced WR coach and the new HC who has 3 games of HC experience. ETA: If coaching staff stability is so important to Fleming why didn't he commit to Clemson?

I saw that on reddit yesterday and thought the same thing. And of course, nobody on reddit even remotely thought it was a weird comment.
But it's the same reddit that rated 2013 FSU as the best national championship team in the past 10 years and I'd rate them about the worse(apparently none of them know what SoS is). So I don't have much for expectations when it comes to that group.

Someone can probably elaborate better, but he was the poster that called Sopsher to Bama all last year. He seems to be very tied in with the Louisiana recruits. So much so that he can set off the entire LSU board with one post.

I know Nolacap has been spot on in the past, but I'm skeptical of his confidence with Roy. Not doubting that his info is bad, but I think the person he is getting that info from is getting played - Roy is definitely leading one side on or straight up lying to them.
To me, the writing is on the wall with this recruitment. If he was committing to Bama I think it would be smaller event with family and close friends; the fact that he put the address of the commitment party (which is in BR) out in public on his IG makes me think it's got to be LSU for him.
If I am wrong, then this kid truly doesn't give a frick about others' opinions. Besides the fact that he is a complete force as a player, I want his commitment to see the LSU melt.. the LSUrb will be a spectacle if he rolls with the Tide.

Yeah I get what you're saying. However, I don't think the time and place Roy has chosen for his announcement is really much of an indicator of which school he's chosen.
Some LA kids, like Sopsher for example, have put off announcing a commitment to Bama until it's time to sign, apparently to avoid harrassment from some LSU fans. But Sopsher didn't really avoid that, he just delayed it. And in the meantime, he had to deal with LSU continuing to recruit him and locals bugging him to pick LSU.
However, if Roy has already decided he wants to go to Bama, he might prefer to announce it early this way for good reasons:
Maybe he'd rather make it public now and shut down his recruitment, so the LSU fans who get mad about it can go ahead and express that now and then move on. And also so LSU and ATM coaches can move on with recruiting other DL prospects instead of wasting time and resources recruiting him.
Some kids (and parents) prefer to complete the hectic recruiting process faster, so they can return to normal life and focus on their senior year in HS football and academics.
Maybe the establishment where Roy is having his announcement party offered to comp dinner, etc. for Roy, his family and a few close friends, if he would invite the public to attend on social media.

I don't think so unless the establishment owner is a booster of LSU, Bama or ATM.
I speculated that the establishment might've offered that because it would gain business from the others who attend his announcement party as well as exposure that could lead to future business. And the Roy family gets to host a bigger party without any of the cost or work that's required to host a small one at home.
My point is that Roy announcing in such a manner in his home town doesn't necessarily mean he's any more likely to announce for LSU over Bama or ATM.

None of the main guys for Geaux247 (Shea & Sonny), BOL (Hank & Tim) and Gigem247 (Peronni & Sayles) have made CB picks for Roy, except for Shea's Foggy CB.
It appears that most of the "insider" posters on BOL and Geaux247 don't feel certain about who Roy will announce for, except Malcolm XL (G247) is very confident it's LSU and nolacapstone is very confident it's Bama.
We'll see on the 26th. However, it still may not be over then, unless Roy totally shuts down his recruitment.
