He announced on Monday that he didn't vote for Lawrence. He changed his mind. This was a publicity stunt.

Using his Heisman vote to generate outrage that gets people to tune into his shitty talkshow is peak Finebaum. I really wish some woman would come out and say that little goblin sexually harassed her so his career would be ruined and we'd never have to hear his name again.

Also, if you’re trying to pick one of the Alabama players — good luck. I think they cancel each other out. Until yesterday, we were debating between Mac Jones and DeVonta Smith, and here comes Najee Harris with the game of his career. So, which one do you vote for? I really think it’s too bad because they’re all very capable and qualified

I guarantee that quite a few voters have this mentality. Some voters are also going to treat it as a career award for Lawrence. It’s dumb. He most likely won’t win it but I’m not going to rule it out completely either.

But how did the Heisman end up 900+ voters? There’s no other award that has that many.

It's pretty much been my concern...our own fans pumping 3 of our players instead of just getting behind one guy...which gives Lawrence a shot when he shouldn't even be a finalist after missing multiple games, including Clemson's only "big" regular season game.

Stop worrying about stuff like this. Lawrence is not going to win this award.

And if he does, our players would see that as a huge insult. Clemson better hope he doesn't win.

He is just saying things for click bait.
Nothing more.
He may very well voted for Lawrence at his #1, he has that right, but to boast about it is all for hits on the website
ETA: I still say Trevor has quite a chance, especially with the voters that aren't college football fans or viewers. Sunshine was shown every weekend wearing his woke "We want change" warmup t-shirt. He's been outspoken about it.
I think that will resonate with a lot of voters that we don't really connect with.

i hope I am wrong but I think Lawrence wins this thing based upon the totality of his career stats. It's his turn will go the thinking.

If he wins we might as well send the ones we have back. Because they won't mean shite.

That's all Finebaum is. A publicity stunt. He doesn't know football. He doesn't know basketball. He's a gossip columnist at best. And just an SEC Jerry Springer the rest of the time.

He's somehow become successful with so little talent.

His show is driven by vitriol so this makes perfect sense. This will keep his show hot for the next 4 months

If he actually did vote for Lawrence #1 he likely won't be a Heisman voter much longer. The trust is against people revealing their vote before the ceremony and has taken votes away from people for doing it. I think one of the Roundtable hosts gave up his vote when they announced that new rule.

Vegas has Devonta winning it. ESPN's straw poll of their writers has Devonta winning it. The Athletic's straw poll of their writers has Devonta winning it. He's going to win it. If I was a betting man I think the order of finish will be Devonta, Mac, Trevor, and Trask.

As much as I want Bama to have a Heisman Winning QB (for recruiting), I do think Smitty deserves it. It's almost a push for this year. But while it isn't a career reward, I consider that the tiebreaker between the two. Mr. 2nd and 26 has gifted us 4 years of brilliance.

I'll be very happy for him. Great representative of the Tide. Mac went from lightly regarded to 1st/2nd round draft pick in the span of the year...he's gonna be fine.
