Tua is the best QB we have ever had. But I do feel like sometimes he let his injuries effect his psyche and he started feeling sorry for himself while playing.

Mac is going to be the best QB we have ever had besides Tua and he is tough.

Again not sure you understand what technically means. Technically means from an objective standpoint. Tua was a much more talented QB. He also had much better stats.

Yet you can make the argument that AJ was better for this type of team. So yes I’m actually agreeing with you there. Tua is technically the better QB but in reality AJ was better for the team.

quote:

How many times did tua play an entire game and when losing the lead, storm back with his team on his shoulders and gut it out?

Again I agree with your overall point. But how many times did Alabama even fall behind in 2018? Bama won every single game handily up until the UGA game. He didn’t have to make comebacks. And in the Clemson one, there was a failure on all fronts. Offense, defense, ST, and at the coaching level. Can’t put that loss solely on him. AJ never faced a team with a team as complete as that Clemson team. So yes the UGA one he didn’t come through that year because he got hurt again.

In 2019, yeah he was injured there.

But at same time, I think you’re overvaluing AJ. QBs to this team, generally are just game managers. There were only 2 times (LSU and A&M though they had a shitty defense; maybe UGA but that was mostly run game. AJ threw for 160 yards) I recall in which AJ fit that above criteria, because the supporting cast surrounding them is so good (particularly on defense) that they don’t really have to do much.

I mean he literally threw a walk-off 42 yard TD pass in overtime of the national championship game. You must be a troll.

I didn’t feel like I was holding my breath every play waiting on him to get hurt.

Like I said, he lacked great leadership. Big boy was it fun watching him scramble wondering if he’d fumble or get killed every hit. ??????

Tua? He fumbled very few times in his 3 years. In fact,I'm nearly certain that he turned the ball over less than any qb we've had since McCarron. (at least less turnovers per 100 plays)

eta that Tagovailoa is the ncaa record holder for career pass efficiency

Like I said. An entire game. I’m not a troll. I just have my opinions and you have yours. Don’t get your panties twisted up over it. He wasn’t a leader. He was a good qb. Oh well. After teams had tape and could prepare he couldn’t win the big one. Only big ones he lost minus the one Jalen coming in and saving his arse. He was dramatic about injuries and got the poor me’s and his family was dramatic.

So it doesn't count because it wasn't an entire game? And what exactly did his family do that was dramatic? You can have your opinion, but it's a load of shite.

Oh get over yourself. LSU fans like to get under your skin. AJ is my all time favorite Saban era qb followed closely by Coker.

I wondered that too. There was one Dad that talked some shite to the media but it wasn't Tua's Dad

Great play I agree. Thankful we had him. Especially thankful we had him for that game. Still doesn’t make him a great qb. McElroy won a natty. He was great? Tua doesn’t hold a candle to AJ.

after checking your post history and finding this on the first page, you're not worth the discussion.

Go back to the early days of athletics. Come back to me. I’m sorry facts get in the way of your narrative. Point was I don’t care about the pandering these athletes are doing. It’s a game. A GAME. So when they push agendas that go directly against what this country stands for, I simply point out they are spoiled and catered to. Tough tits.

Yeah any drama Tua or Galu caused is purely speculative and I seriously doubt Saban would have such a high opinion of Tua if he was a problem behind the scenes. This dude is a negative comparison of Tua to Burrow away from completely outing himself.

You folks are a barrel of laughs. Kind of like liberals. Someone disagrees with an opinion and it’s full melt. All bama fans don’t share the same opinion on Tua. He was a good qb that lacked leadership skills.

It’s exactly what I meant. Pandering from low level athletes and supporting causes that are directly related to the killing of cops and the burning of cities, well I just don’t get down with that.
