the last few NIT games were weird.

the game against Maryland I remember the place being packed, and it was one of the best environments Coleman had been since the 90s in my opinion.... because the NIT is first come first serve general seating.

The Illinois game after firing Grant was a sparse due to spring break that year, but it was about 5k or so.

Man frick that game we need to get Avery out of here. Kids play lazy and show no fundamentals.

The NIT is fine when you are with a new staff coming off bad teams. It's like being Kentucky this year and going to the Citrus Bowl.

The NIT run with Grant the year we barely missed was great.

Yeah when you're building towards something the NIT can be exciting. I think the year South Carolina made the Independence Bowl early under Spurrier (maybe his first year there) is the most similar football connection.

Is the game at home?
Could we save on the power bill and just play this at Foster Auditorium?
Or the Rec center?

If we win, we potentially have a game with the Dayton Flyers.... and Anthony Grant.
