And Joe Brady might pull a Gus Malzahn if he leaves, but then snipes the LSU head coaching job in a couple of years if they fall off.

It’s crazy how similar things are to 2010.

Been saying this for weeks.

My only hope is Ed gets them to extend him and add a huge buyout clause.

Because we've seen this before. LSU will feel good in the moment but regret it later.

Seen this movie over and over.

I think Orgeron will surprise you. He's gotten the LSU OL and DL recruiting better which is something that slipped under Miles so I think he may have more success than Chizik.

That's some petty-arse hypocritical bullshite when a Bama fan criticizes another coach for winning because of recruiting.

And only sore losers melt like this in the face of another's victory.

Orgeron built LSU into the best in the game in 2019 and had maybe best season of all-time. A Bama fan giving anything less that "congrats" is a man acting like a child and a bitch.

If you're talking about me I think you need to up your reading comprehension. I gave Orgeron a compliment and I have been nothing but complimentary of him and the job he's done. I don't know what in the hell you're talking about Prevatt.

I really don't see any way they go 7-17 in the SEC over the next 3 years, culminating in an 0-8 campaign. They'd have to have significantly worse injury luck than us or hire James Coley away from UGA when Brady takes the Panthers job or something. Even then it would be difficult to pull off. That level of incompetence is pretty difficult to pull off if you have a talented roster. I think they are just going to go back to their usual 9-3 type season where they lose to us, one of Florida and Auburn, and another random game to someone like A&M or Ole Miss. The stars just aligned for them this year unfortunately. It sucks, but it is what it is. Sustaining it is pretty difficult though. We are the only team that really has. Clemson will keep getting chances though because the ACC is a fricking joke.

Not criticizing. Pointing out the obvious:

Career before Burrow:
31 - 33
No championships or titles of any kind at any level.

With Burrow:
25 - 3
One SEC West title, one SEC title, and one NC. Coach of the Year.

Burrow didn't look like a world beater last year. Coach O has managed to build a strong staff balanced with Xs and Os guys as well as recruiters. He has assembled the talent and depth to complement Burrow. And, he remained open to adapting the style of play to take advantage of the talent on hand.

All the while, he has endeared himself to the entire CFB world. He is still a shirtless, fight me Wild Boy at heart, but his players and staff would run through a wall for him. Moreover, he IS LSU football and forever intertwined with its culture and fanbase. His passion is unmatched, and he is doing it while having fun.

His maturation as a HC has been extraordinary. Good guy. Good coach

Very happy to see him hoist that trophy last night. Well deserved.

Don't be so certain. Coach Eaux has been an elite recruiter for many years and has proven he will surround himself with good people. This LSU team is in the conversation for best ever so no doubt they fall off a bit but I think LSU is back to the level they were at from 2001-2012. After AJ and Yeldon ripped out their hearts with that screen pass, LSU was never the same.

Don't look now, but Special Ed has already outperformed Chizik. His teams haven't quit and talent kept coming even after a number of setbacks. I thought last season's loss to ATM might finally be the unraveling, but not so fast sports fans.

Ed was quick last night to refer to this season as the perfect storm. I'm buying that. The hard part, will the next QB keep this program elite? I can't help believing the recent Georgia QB transfer from Wake Forest would have been a good patch for what they run. Orgeron better get to looking around.

Can't take anything away from what LSU accomplished the season. Stellar job by Coach O and staff.

It's easier getting the top than staying there as Saban will say. Saban is the best in the game and its been tough the last few years to maintain consistency. No Burrow and no Brady will set them back bigly. Oregon has done a great job on recruiting on the lines which i/m/o opinion has been LSU's biggest problem. Moreso than the QB position. Don't think he is the next Chizik but he isn't Saban either...and its been tough for Nick when you are constantly replacing coaches and talent that jumps in year 3.
