Is averaging 33 yards/punt this season. How is it possible to be that bad? I’m not kidding when I say that my 11 year old nephew can punt it 30 yards in his backyard.
I don’t hate the kid or wish him bad or anything like that, but he is not earning his scholarship right now. I also understand mental issues, believe me, but literally anybody on the roster could average 30 yards...

DeShank is legitimately the worst collegiate punter I have ever seen.

Yea I've never seen someone else so consistently awful at every aspect of punting.

I mean, he doesn't even occasionally get into one. If he did it would at least show that he can do it. His best kicks go like 40 yards though.

i looked up punting stats and it stops at 107 for avg punt so i couldnt see where he ranks lol

I hate to pile on, but I've never seen a worse Bama punter. I go back to '83. (Born in 76, so the first few years don't count)

Lane Bearden did much better with one good leg. DeLong doesn't have it between the ears.

Skyler DeShort is a bad punter. For real, can we not grab some foreign kid from an intramural soccer team and put them out there?

I'm hoping that Saban chewing him out, was the final thing. No use in dragging this out. The kid hasn't done shite since he got to Tuscaloosa

Im really hoping he transfers or hangs it up.... He has to be better at school. Just focus on that

I really wonder how does one lose the ability to punt the ball going from high school to college.
It's not like the speed of the game, etc. has anything to do with it

If Saban decides to cut him from the team and bring in a walk-on frat boy who was a former high school punter, he would be justified. It literally cannot be worse.

I hate to see a kid broken like that . Think he needs a change of scenery . Saban said he kicks well in practice. They must have seen something in him To get a scholly but damn
