Discounting a redshirt year, 4 years is the span of eligibility for a college player, so when records are discussed, I think 4 years is a pretty good measure. It's 2&2 the last 4 years.

If you aren't counting the red shirt year, then the current seniors weren't around for that first game (if you're talking about the upcoming season).

It's intentionally misleading to act like Clemson has just been dominating the series

Who is saying Clemson is dominating? A 2-1 record over 3 years isn't dominating.

For that matter, the elite players aren't around 4 years anyway. It's a new year. I'm not going to dwell on last year.

We should include all of the Bama/Clemson games if anyone is still alive that played in the games, or have a relative that was in the stands. What is that record in the "rivalry"? I'm not looking it up.

Or we should only include future games that we play since those are the only games with the current players. Like the 2020 title game vs. Clemson that Bama wins 38-20.

I swear, you guys will argue about anything.

Is that not the point of these boards?

They've beaten us twice in the last 3 seasons, so they can talk trash...

Why would you leave the 4th game out?

They are 2-2 over the last 4 seasons vs Alabama.

Probably because the most recent 3 are more relevant.

It's been 4 years in a row.

It's not like the 4th game was the 2008 game.

This! We’ve beat their arse once, they’ve beat our arse once and we’ve each won a close one. So where’s the dominance?

ETA: Alabama leads the all time series 14-5. The cumulative score over the 4 playoff meetings? Clemson 125 Alabama 116. That’s how close this series is.

There is no dominance. It's just en vogue to hate on Alabama. To them, we're the Empire, and the rest of CFB is the Rebel Alliance.

Interesting the media and everyone loves to use this narrative but yet we are 2-2 against CU in the last 4 seasons.

Alabama and Clemson have literally been carbon copies for the last 4 seasons.

Overall record
Alabama: 55-4
Clemson: 55-4

Playoff appearances
Alabama: 4
Clemson: 4

National titles
Alabama: 2
Clemson: 2

Head to head they are 2-2.

Clemson has 1 more conference title than Bama. Bama has 1 more playoff game win than Clemson.

Having said that, I don't mind the talk at all. Every time someone outside the program says you aren't that good anymore, it makes Saban's motivational job that much easier.

We've got 5 Natty's in 10 years, split last 4 meetings with Clemson. Players know the talk or narrative being said Clemson winning 2 of the last 3 so I'm sure their wanting to redeem how the season ended & wouldn't mind a 5th year in a row shot at them to break the tie.

I guarantee Duke will be fired up for the game. Tired of hearing Dabo run his mouth. Just shut them up on the field

Duke could play with the most intensity ever seen in the history of football, and they would still get crushed. You're kidding yourself if you think any margin of victory in that game will shut anyone up.
