Back in the 70's Coach Bryant (so called) made the statement that "if Florida ever gets their act together then the rest of us are in trouble". I think you could say that about Georgia as well. The Head Ball Coach came and made that happen. I believe Kirby is going to take the Dawgs to that level as well.

To be continued

took a couple days to process, but i just wanted to congratulate you guys on your success.

UGA didn't choke that game away, you guys came out and won it.

In the second to last play i was running all around my living room yelling "DESTINY" and then 10 seconds later I was just sorta..NUMB

anyways, congrats again.

Do us a favor. When you win, just act like you've been there, no huge deal. Don't pull an Auburn and rush the field and all. We'll respect you much more.

Personally, I wouldn't rush the field over it. I'd probably cry like a baby. I was fully prepared for that on Monday sitting in my seat surrounded by strangers. But honestly, as long as it's been for us, I think it would be hard to blame anyone for doing it. It's easy to say "act like you've been there" when you've actually been there. Most of our younger fans have never experienced it.

And I will say one thing about Bama fans' empathy to our situation. Yes, you know some heartbreak on a last play loss against Clemson, but you all also know that with Saban and your talent, you'll be back more often than not. It's no big thing. The same may be true for us, moving forward, but we really have no way to know that until it happens. So I would argue that this really hurts us a lot more. To have it right there in front of us for the first time since I've been alive (I was born in '80, so that's pretty much true) and to lose it like we did....it's painful. Not to mention, I was able to be there for it and I can't guarantee making a trip to San Fran if we repeat it next year, no matter how much I might want to. It just sucks some major donkey balls.

Alas, congrats on a great season and a great win. It was an awesome game to witness, either way. We didn't lose because of refs, btw. Most of us know that, so don't think it's the prevailing opinion. It goes both ways and after a loss like this, it's easy to try and point the finger at things like that and not really pay attention to calls that went in our favor. At the end of the day, Fromm made a critical mistake on the helmet-bounce interception that took at least 3 points off the board for us and at the same time, that play and the loss of Wims resulted in our coaches deciding to go more conservative in the play calling. We got away from what got us there. When we intercepted Tua prior to that, we should have given a steady dose of Michel/Swift (Chubb isn't built to beat your defense). Crazy how we still had a shot following that sack in OT. If Tua doesn't hit that game-winning TD pass, it's 3rd and 26 from forever and we literally could have pulled it out of our butts.

Oh well. Y'all are good folks and I had a great time talking with a number of your fans before the game. No dislike from me toward Bama. I respect what your program has done and you should be proud.

We'll see you in December.

If we can make Auburn eat Gus' 50M deal and continue the Tennessee nuclear meltdown, things will be good... then it just comes down to you guys taking care of LSU and/or aTm and us keeping Florida and a somewhat resurgent USC under Boom from getting back up off the mat. Should be setup to play a few more despite the shitty revolving SEC divisional schedules.

I think UT, UF and SC will be improving, but it'll be tough for them to match what UGA has going now. I think MSU will stay solid, ATM will improve a lot, and AU & LSU are always loaded with talent and dangerous. Overall, the SEC should be more competitive again soon (which I like). But I think UA & UGA will meet in most of the SEC CGs.

& AU

It was a hell of a game and UGA's defense had the perfect plan for Jalen

It was what I hoped we'd do... maybe just executed a little too well...

Question for you. On UGA's last drive in regulation, why did they have Swift in the game instead of Chubb/Michel? I would figure you would want a Sr/Jr instead of a tFr in that situation.

Word is that Michel had an injury somewhere in the second half, which is why he was notably absent late. Something about his hip? Haven't seen specifics yet. Chubb I assume was because you guys had bottled him up all game and they were looking for the closest thing to Sony's skillset.

Having said that I read your comments on the rant and agree totally with Surge!

Ultimately, reasonable minds can disagree... In the interest of not repeating myself, most likely I left some comments out of that thread that I included elsewhere that may have given more context... rather than get into it again, suffice it to say, we had our chances regardless of the officiating.

mentioned Bama fans year long diatribe on the Clemson pick play in last year's Natty, most all Bama fans I know blame Coach Saban for not calling a TO to tell our guys what everybody else in the whole world knew was coming!

Specifically was just referring to on the SECr, and what I recall being discussed frequently. In no way is that reflective of "all Bama fans", but it was at a minimum a very vocal part of the fanbase. It's certainly possible that it's similar to what's happening now for us, with a handful of people posting a lot and coloring the perception.

Either way... congrats and see ya again soon hopefully.

Congrats to UGA on the season. No reason to hang your heads. Kirby has the program looking good and with the way y'all are recruiting I expect more rematches. UGA looks like a different team now and the future is bright.

Sourcing a conversation with coaches after the game, it was reported this morning on Atlanta radio by Mark Schlabaugh from ESPN on the Bulldawg Roundtable on 680 The Fan, a Dickey Broadcasting Company. I seent it. I mean hear't it.
