Had to let it marinate a day or so before I could do it, but wanted to swing by and say congrats. That was one hell of a football game... Glad I went... also glad it didn't cost me a fortune. That is a somewhat long and sketchy story, but will be one of those stories I tell for many many years to come, regardless of the outcome.
As many of you guys have noted, Saban deserves some kind of medal for the work he and your staff put in this year... managing injuries on a monumental scale and then making one of the big balled calls I've seen in championship history by benching a third of the damn offensive starters in favor of freshmen. Not that there was any doubt that he's tGOAT, but he just cements the legacy further every year. 67 seems like a good time to retire...
If there is any solace in this one, it's that we took a team with some pretty glaring holes and managed to go toe to toe with tGOAT coach and shut it down for a half of football... then got a healthy dose of "learning experience" on game planning for big changes from Saban... Tua looks to be pretty frickin' good... wish you guys would have let him transfer. Not sure the rest of the SEC is ready for a Saban defense with him running the show on offense as well...
Look forward to more matchups in the future... just ready for us to come out on the other end of a close one instead.

Here’s to us fricking Auburn every season and having an annual get-together in Atlanta.

Congrats on the amazing season! I really enjoyed the Dawgs wins vs ND, UT, UF, AU and OU! We have some common enemies.
Ours was a friggin' awesome game and could've gone either way. I know that feeling of coming so close only to lose on the last play. Your one of the best posters otb and seem like a good guy. Appreciate and be proud of your great team and celebrate them.
Kirby has the program rolling! Looks like we'll be playing each other often and they should be great games too. I'm looking forward to it.

Great game, I think it nearly killed both fan bases Georgia has no reason at all to hang their heads. They gave it everything.
I wish the refs would have done a better job. It leaves a black cloud over the game. In a perfect world, the refs would do their jobs and both teams would play at full strength.
The future is bright for you guys and Kirby is kicking arse recruiting so it won't end soon. (Unless Kirby wants to coach pros )
Good luck next season. I'm not sure my heart can take another Bama-Georgia game though

Tough loss man. We know the feeling from last year and the feeling of being close but having to give it another year from 2008 Florida.
Dawgs are clearly just getting started. Going to be a few more of these games in that stadium.

Yea, I don't hardly check emails. I basically only text. Talking on the phone requires too much focus, I hate it

More than a few "frick Auburn"'s were shared between Tide and Dawg fans on the way into and out of the Benz on Monday...

Thanks bud. Not sure if you misunderstood my other post over on the Rant, or what... pretty sure I wasn't saying what you think I was. But either way..
If we can make Auburn eat Gus' 50M deal and continue the Tennessee nuclear meltdown, things will be good... then it just comes down to you guys taking care of LSU and/or aTm and us keeping Florida and a somewhat resurgent USC under Boom from getting back up off the mat. Should be setup to play a few more despite the shitty revolving SEC divisional schedules.

It sure as shite felt like destiny was on our side when y'all missed that kick at the end of regulation. Even with everything going the wrong direction in the second half it was one of those... OMFG, could this still happen? Then the sack... frickin' Parrish in coverage by himself. I have to come back to the line that was mentioned in a recruiting article earlier this year... "This may be Kirby Smart's least talented roster for the next 3-4 seasons" - We're catching up in that department at least...
Definitely not sure I can take another game like that for all the marbles... y'all can kindly not make a second half comeback next time...
I don't honestly see Kirby heading to the pros... I could certainly be wrong, but I feel like he *knows* he's got job stability through the roof, and one of his biggest assets is his recruiting skills... that just doesn't translate to the league. To quote a really shitty commercial... "It just means more" coaching for his alma mater.

Yeah, I can see Kirby staying put for the rest of his career right where he is. It's his alma mater and such a great gig with all that blue chip in-state talent. And the new stadium in Atanta is pretty much like a 2nd home stadium.

Sorry, I should've responded to your reply. I think I understood you well. I actually agreed with most of your post, except that you just seemed convinced that some ref miscalls impacted the game much more in UA's favor. I don't think so, but I can at least admit to myself that it's human nature for fans to judge refs as unfair to their team. Most fans can't admit that their own view is inherently biased.
It seems to me like the crew either missed more calls than is normal or else just intended to be conservative about throwing flags in such a big game, including letting stuff go unflagged when players got too chippy. I saw some PIs, holds, incidental facemasks and chippy stuff that didn't get flagged. UGA and UA both got away with some stuff that could've been flagged.
Some posters are really irate about a couple of missed Bama false starts that I didn't notice watching the game. One on a TD play and one on the blocked punt. If flagged, they'd just back UA up 5 yards for another TD attempt and a repunt. So, those missed calls may not have impacted the game at all. Those irate posters don't seem to get that.
The whiny posters and the articles they linked ignored missed calls that favored UGA, such as this obvious PI:
There were some posters really losing it over the officiating. I usually ignore those kinds of threads and posts and should have again. They're such a waste of time and energy.

Appreciate the congrats! Always have liked and respected the Dawg! Thanks for the recruiting info you bring here to our board also. Having said that I read your comments on the rant and agree totally with Surge! Btw you mentioned Bama fans year long diatribe on the Clemson pick play in last year's Natty, most all Bama fans I know blame Coach Saban for not calling a TO to tell our guys what everybody else in the whole world knew was coming!

It was a hell of a game and UGA's defense had the perfect plan for Jalen
Question for you. On UGA's last drive in regulation, why did they have Swift in the game instead of Chubb/Michel? I would figure you would want a Sr/Jr instead of a tFr in that situation.
Past that I give Kirby props as he had you guys ready.
