Tashard Choice backing out of the USC RB job to take the Texas job is interesting. He got some Jay Valai in him . Probably no less than what Riley deserves.

Riley will "process" up to 35 Trojans through the portal, declaring for the NFL (very few) and other ways according to On3 Sports.

What a king sized douche nozzle. There's cleaning house, then there's burning it to the ground and Riley is choosing the latter. I totally get that the talent level isn't what it needs to be at SC but those kids committed to play there and have stuck around through bad times. They deserve to be able to finish their career and/or degree where they choose. 90% of those kids would be gone in a year or two anyway. I hope that sorry SOB crashes and burns in LA and is coaching high school football in some nowhere west Texas town in about 5 years.

Hiring him could give Texas the inside track to land AA RB Jahmyr Gibbs transfering from GT.

Could be. At least up until this point I haven't seen him connected to Texas but obviously that will likely change. I am hoping he wants to be close enough to home for his folks to see him. Also I will take solace in the fact he went into th portal while Choice was still on the staff at GT, however we all know this is recruiting and anything can happen. We were one hire away from having Domani in Crimson.

Now that would be funny

Rush 2.0

Nah. Urban doesn't want a secret family. I don't think he wants the first one.

Apparently Napier is doing what any former Saban assistant does...hire other Saban assistants.

He's close to pulling Karl Scott(Co-DC & OLBs), Rob Sale(OL), and Chris Rumph(DL) from different NFL teams.

Not a huge fan of Rumph, I don't think he did a good job at Bama, but Napier is assembling a pretty stellar staff. He definitely plans on hitting Louisiana and Texas hard in recruiting...

In addition, it looks like Oregon is going to hire the Steelers Online coach who they are allowing to leave immediately and if you have watched the Steelers Oline this year that shouldn't be a surprise .

Rumors coming out of Jacksonville that their GM Trent Baalke is pushing for Khan to consider Bill O'Brien.

If that is the case I hope O'Brien gives the championship game his entire focus.

Hope Tosh does well at Oregon. Hopefully he is better prepared for the DC job now. Also very glad he did not come back to the SEC and become a thorn in our side, recruiting wise.

Lot of candidates are curious as to why Khan hasn't fired Baalke yet, they don't like the idea of being tied to a lame duck GM.

Baalke has also recently been pushing Alabama offensive coordinator Bill O'Brien to ownership as a possible candidate. O'Brien earned accolades as a play-caller under Nick Saban and has previous experience as head coach in Houston. However, the bitter end to his time there, and his history of power struggles and personality clashes, won't likely do much to stem the tide of public sentiment in Jacksonville against the early stages of this hiring process.
