It was a good decision to leave him in. Tua clearly needs more 2 minute drill practice at the end of the half, as he clearly just showed us and also in last week's game.

Unless your starter has surgery 3 weeks ago, and it’s obviously hobbled enough not to evade pass rushers.

AJ McCarron played the entire half vs Auburn in 2012, despite being up 42-0. Even played one series in the second half. Nobody said anything then.

There was no reason for him to evade pass rushers. He should have long since thrown the ball away.

Exactly, no reason for him to, but he had to because he was hobbled. Any other injury to another player is in no way preventable, but Tua’s was 100% avoidable.

Only the second part of this sentence is correct. It was 100% avoidable. He simply had to throw the ball away when it was clear the play was dead instead of trying to play hero and force it.

I’m never shy about criticizing Saban, but this was not a bad decision. It only looks bad in hindsight. If Tua goes in scores a quick TD making it 42-7, we’re all smiles, and nobody is questioning that decision.

Not to mention, this injury had nothing to do with his ankle. He injured his hip.
We just need to accept the sad fact that Tua is made of glass

Exactly. I'm not even clicking on the rant for the rest of the season, because I know the retards on there are foaming at the mouth over Saban being the reason for the injury, when it wasnt even the same injury, and had nothing to do with the ankle.

skimmed thru the comments. didnot see a single mention of, had tua thrown the ball awa, nobody puts a hand on him. but as usual, he tried to make something out of nothing. o line breaks down, again. tua holds ball to long, again. tua hurt, again.

last week he was a warrior. this week, he needed bubble wrap. smh... hes a football player, he will always choose to play.

Reminds me when Shula left in Croyle and Prothro back in 2005 vs Florida

Apples and oranges. There was less than 9 minutes left in the 4th quarter, we were up 31-3, and instead of kicking a FG, we went for it on 4th down on the play when Prothro got hurt. Tua got hurt in the late in the second quarter when we were up by the same margin; no similarity at all between the two as far as why the starters were still in...

Was he coming off a leg injury & surgery?

Nobody wants to take about Tua’s role in this and just pin it all on Saban.

And I’m not talking about lobbying to go back in. I’m talking about scrambling 20 yards left and holding on to the ball until the last second trying to make a hero play.

You’re up 28 and just had surgery 3 weeks ago. Put it in the 30th row, dude! You have to protect yourself better than that when you’re already hurt.

LOL!

In both instances, the game was out of reach.

In both instances, the decision to leave them in was stupid, period. I don't give a shite about Saban's robotic handling of game reps during a blowout. Get your healing QB off the damn field. Its not rocket science, guys.

You really think Auburn’s 2 monster d-lineman weren’t going to make it to Tua and sack him out of the game at some point?

Dude, I would’ve pulled Tua there, but there’s no comparison situation-wise...midway thru the fourth quarter and end of the second quarter when there are play-off implications are two different animals as far as having your starters in the game...

Clemson up 28 in the 3rd quarter and Lawrence is still in. Mark Dabo off as a potential Bama coach in the future. He’s reckless.

Ohio State up 28 in 3rd against Rutgers and Fields is still playing. Guess Day didn’t get the memo on this either. Dumbass.

What injuries have Lawrence and Fields suffered over the last 2 seasons?

How often do they put their body in unnecessary jeopardy by not throwing the ball away?

Again, apples and oranges
