Oh I'm leaving the higher/hire error (really want to put era here for my own amusement) for future generations to discover.
I think people can tell that I am by far the most easily amused poster on this board.

So there is a 5-star DE out of Ohio that hasn't been given much thought because of the probability of him signing with Ohio State. I wonder if he will start looking around due to the Urban news?

Oh shite:
Report: Zach Smith said he'd take everyone at Ohio State down

Report: Zach Smith said he'd take everyone at Ohio State down
quote:
Former Ohio State wide receivers coach and recruiting coordinator Zach Smith was fired last week after reporter Brett McMurphy detailed a series of domestic abuse allegations from his ex-wife, Courtney, dating back to 2009 when he was an assistant coach at Florida under Meyer. Those allegations were front and center again on Wednesday after McMurphy released an updated report, which included text message conversations between Courtney and wives of Ohio State staff members, including Shelley Meyer, the wife of Buckeyes football head coach Urban Meyer.
In those messages, Courtney shared images of injuries and details of Smith's alleged abuse. She also told McMurphy that Smith had once told her he would not be the only one to suffer consequences if he lost his job as a result of her coming forward.
“Zach once told me,” Courtney said, “if he ever got fired and this all comes out: ‘I’ll take everyone at Ohio State down with me.’ ”
The revelations revealed in McMurphy's latest report have created a firestorm of criticism for Urban Meyer. At Big Ten Media Days last week, the Buckeyes head coach claimed he was unaware of two 2015 domestic violence incidents, broached in McMurphy's intial report, between Smith and Courtney. The Powell (Ohio) Police Department investigated both incidents, but no arrests were made.
Beyond Urban Meyer's wife discussing the alleged abuse with Courtney, McMurphy also obtained texts between Lindsey Voltolini and Courtney. Voltolini is the wife of Ohio State football operations director Brian Voltolini, who was also on Urban Meyer's staffs at Bowling Green, Utah and Florida. In the Nov. 5, 2015, text exchange between Lindsey Voltolini and Courtney, Voltolini indicates that Smith denied his involvement in an Oct. 25, 2015 domestic violence incident directly to Urban Meyer.
Here is the conversation, via McMurphy:
Courtney: “(Zach’s) trying to make me look crazy bc that’s what Shelley is saying (he’s doing)”
Lindsey: “He (Urban) just said he (Zach) denied everything”
Courtney: “I hope urban is smarter than that”
Lindsey: “He (Urban) doesn’t know what to think”
Courtney: “I don’t really care. Ya know”
Lindsey: “Yeah, don’t worry about urb”
Another set of messages include threats from Smith to Courtney in September 2015. Courtney filed for divorce in October 2015.
“The past 3 months," Smith reportedly wrote. "You were going to try to give me a chance a week ago and now, even though I have done NOTHING WRONG since then, you’re done with me. I will kill that bitch and everyone involved. For ruining my life. I am getting myself right and getting punished. F--- all of you.
“Just know that now… I will find you when your out. I will come seek the douche your with. I will f--- him up to the point that no one will recognize him”
Through his attorney, Smith responded to the latest details released surrounding the allegations against him on Wednesday.
"Zach Smith wants to be as transparent and honest as possible but it is not going to be done today through the media," Brad Koffel, Smith's attorney, said in a statement released to ESPN on Wednesday. "It will only be after he and his ex-wife are sworn in to testify. Once he gets his chance to tell his side of events, don’t be surprised when it is corroborated by every police who ever responded to Ms. Smith’s calls."
In light of the new information released, Urban Meyer was reportedly scheduled to meet with Ohio State athletic director Gene Smith on Wednesday.

I think McMurphey is saying that he has more photos and text messages. I'm guessing he will release them a little bit at a time.

Carlton, Ohio State is an outlaw athletic program. They are worst than UNLV or Miami but they are a blue blood. And, that's the only reason they haven't received a strong penalty.

Per Brett McMurphy, she says former Ohio State head coach Earle Bruce (Zach Smith’s grandfather and Meyer’s mentor) and Meyer’s “life coach” Hiram de Fries asked her to drop charges — which she did.
WTF! Somehow, arguably OSU's 4th greatest coach of all time is also involved. You can't make this stuff up.

From the now defunct Scout site last winter regarding Urban Meyer and Caden Clark. His brother was a prior commit dropped by OSU.
BOL poster: "Meyer recruited his brother at age 14 and offered him. Kid committed on the spot because it was his dream to be a Buckeye. For the next 4 years the kid did nothing but tweet about playing for OSU and Meyer. He even got a couple of OSU tattoos on his arm. But after his senior year he was only rated a 3 star and Meyer withdrew the offer to make room for another 4-5 star guy. So he now plays for Kentucky."
quote:
Ryan Day and Urban Meyer visited Akron Hoban last winter with the Knights having 10 D-I players in the building - notably Michigan commit Nolan Rumler and top Class of 2020 prospect DeaMonte Trayanum. They met briefly with each kid per NCAA rules, but then asked Hoban coach Tim Tyrrell to see 2020 Caden Clark, the younger brother of former OSU commit Danny Clark. Meyer was told that probably wasn't a good idea, but he insisted that Tyrell let Clark know he was there to see him. The coach came back and said that the younger Clark declined to meet Meyer. Meyer wanted to know exactly what Clark said, and when pressed Coach Tyrell said that Clark said to tell Meyer, ”F___ you." Instead of being angry or insulted, Meyer turned to Day and said: "We've got some fences to mend here with this kid. I like that in him, because that's how he should feel. He should put his family first, and I admire that."
