Wright vs Neal -- either one = a great get, imo

Neal is the better prospect. Wright for me is not a 5-star.

Metchie > DB & WR than Turnage?

I'm basing this on what some of you have said; Turnage will likely flip.

quote:

You see a greater need for a 3rd WR & 6th DL than a 3rd ILB?

King can play ILB and has already said he is willing to move there so we have a possible three not two.

In my preference we have two WR (Wandale and Jameson). Metchie as a DB/WR combo (just like Turnage has been), so tell me again... what is so different?

Our biggest need for me is the 6th DL.

Brandon Turnage is very good at S, CB and WR. His .9490 rating = #15 among 28 (mock class).
Ranking: #8 ATH and #113 player in the nation.

ETA: Idk if he stays on board or not.

Weird that on CABC Pierce Quick said that he recruits for us. Me personally I'm not to big on Miss prospects other than lineman.

Glad I'm not the only one who sees this. Wright looks better from a physical standpoint. He has really long arms and doesn't have a ton of bad weight, but he doesn't have a lot of knee bend like Neal does and his feet aren't nearly as quick.

I agree with everything you said but is Metchie even a DB prospect? I know us fans like what we see but didn't Harris recruit him? Sure he probably likes what he sees at wr.

Well, if Webb doesn't want to play center, then I'm fine with it.

This. What the he'll does Webb want to play then. Didn't he just start playing football. I get the feeling that the opening opened his eyes. This ain't high school where you can push everyone around lol.

YStar's desired 2019 WR, DL & LB Roster:
(* = redshirt)
Wide Receiver (10-12) 3 positions
SR:
JR: Jeudy, Smith, Ruggs
SO: Shavers*, Townsend*, J Waddle
FR: X Williams*, Bolden*, W Robinson, J Williams, Metchie (WR/DB), Billingsley (WR + 25lb to TE)
Defensive Line (12) 3 positions
SR: Musika
JR: Q Williams*, Ray
SO: Mathis*, Wynn
FR: Barmore*, Dale, Alfano, Eboigbe, Young, Sopsher, Ika (or Tuitele)
Inside Linebacker (7) 2 positions
SR:
JR: Moses, Davis*
SO: Benton*, Moody
FR: Lee, Mwikuta, Dean (don't need C Harris)
Outside Linebacker (7) 2 positions
SR: Lewis*
JR: Allen
SO: Parks, Anoma
FR: Latu*, K Harris, Thibodeaux

Maybe Davis & Moody are real good by 2019 and we have no LB injuries in 2018-19.

Davis seems to be headed for a career like another heralded LB we had, Tana Patrick.

Urban is in serious trouble. He and his wife are employees of The OSU. Huge Title 9 problems at The OSU. What a freakin mess. Crickets at TOSU, but the liability problem is huge.

I think some of you are forgetting that Wright was 1st team all Opening (or whatever they called the "award"). Just because Neal was rated #1 there and Wright closely behind doesn't necessarily correlate with how they perform in actual game settings. That being said, both look great. It would be absolutely awesome to land both. My whole point is that there's NOTHING out there that should tell us that Wright isn't a 5* player himself. He did very well (maybe lost a few more reps than Neal did, but still very well overall) against the best competition in a camp setting.

Eh, at the end of the day, just sign them both and don't even worry about who's better. It may actually turn out to be Kight in a couple years, anyway.

Our recruiting momentum seems to be slowing.

A number of programs around us produced commitments this past weekend. We produced nothing and personally, i'm not buying this notion we're asking recruits to "hold off".

When it's a top coach at a top program that is under the microscope in a huge scandal and having people call for his head, my reaction is always the same: I'll believe he gets fired when I see it. And that's very rarely wrong.

If it were Orgeron, he'd be fired yesterday. But I'll believe they fire Urban when I actually see it with my own eyes.

McMurphy said he has seen proof that every coach and all the wives on the OSU staff knew about it. They talked about it and saw the photos. All the coaches wives knew about it.
Again, TOSU has big legal problems because Urbans wife is an employee of TOSU. She had a responsibility to report it immediately to her supervisor. And so did Urban-if he knew it. As McMurphy said, if he didnt know it, he was the only one in the athletic dept that didnt know it.

The AD should be fired since this Urban stuff has popped up but also the wrestling team and the team doc has been exposed recently.

The AD may become the sacrificial lamb in all this and Urb keeps his standing.

It depends on what they can prove Urban knew and when he knew it. As someone else just said, if he's a mandatory reporter, there is proof that he knew what was going on, and he didn't report anything the university likely has no choice in the matter and has to fire him.

One thing I hate about coaches being fired is that I know our assistants are the first that they call...
