Tampa (Fla.) Sickles running back Ray-Ray McCloud could make up to two official visits in the coming weeks, according to his father Ray McCloud, Sr.
McCloud, who is scheduled to play in the Under Armour All-America Game on January 2, will likely make official visits to both Alabama and UCLA next month. McCloud, 5-foot-11, 194-pounds, has been a long time commitment to Clemson.
Another team trying to get in the mix for McCloud is Florida. In fact, McCloud met with new Gator coach Jim McElwain yesterday. It went over well and there's a chance that McCloud will make an unofficial visit to Florida next month once McElwain formulates his new coaching staff in Gainesville.
McCloud is one of the country's most explosive talents in the 2015 class. He projects as a running back, [slot] wide receiver and even cornerback at the next level.

Georgia fans would melt but we're not getting Sweat. Don't think the Oscar Smith coach is very fond of our staff.

I wish Jmac could steal Ray Ray away from Yabba Dabo doo and Bama could land Damien...perfect scenario

It might be the same issue Mag had with the RB from Mich looking like Ingram, but Rayray reminds me a lot of Dee Hart and Jmac did wonders with him last year at CSU

Bama only needs 1 RB in this class with Starbo coming in

I'm doing it again for you ABDIW

Bama's RB depth chart

Derrick Henry & Kenyan Drake
Tyren Jones
Altee Tenpenny
Bo Scarborough

I'm sure I'm missing someone

Flowers will start out at RB

Flowers = Glen Coffee.

He isn't going to wow anyone with athleticism but he's a tough runner that gets north and could be a handful late in his career at bama.

That's who else I was forgetting

I'm not sure how long he lasts IF Bama lands Harris though

There's a lot more playing opportunity on D with him coming in this class and I'm sure every coach on staff will let him know that early and often

OSU took a RB yesterday. Mike Weber. Probably helps us with Harris.

I read somewhere that the OSU staff feels Alabama leads for Harris FWIW.

Well there you go.

I'm studying and skimming TD at the same time. My brain is fried.

Summarized by ApeDeuce:

quote:

- Typical stretch run situation for Bama under Saban. Numbers will be a factor and some high end guys will not end up with a spot in the class. Saban pushed for Adonis Thomas to go ahead and make a decision, as the staff is extremely excited about his upside.
- Damien Harris will OV to Kentucky this weekend. At this point most feel that Alabama has all the momentum coming off Saban's in-home visit earlier this week. Some feel that this will be Kentucky's last opportunity to keep him in-state.
- Coach Burns had an in-home with Daylon Charlot and the kid is pretty much on the fence. The meeting went great but the kid is eventually going to have to make a decision.
- If Charlot flips, then keep an eye on Lawrence Cager and KJ Hill. Both receivers will be in Tuscaloosa on the weekend of Jan 16th.
- Alabama is in a good position with Daron Payne, but Auburn is really pushing hard for him primarily using the Playing Time Angle.
- Saban and Thompson had an in-home visit with J Ledbetter this week. Alabama is still somewhat in the mix but Jon's brother being on scholarship at UGA is the one aspect keeping him committed to Georgia.
- Anfernee Jennings has looked good and will likely see a ratings bump after the all-star season. He is solid to Bama even though other schools have taken notice of him.
- Maryland is the favorite for Isaiah Prince. Ohio State is also in the mix, so Alabama will need to wow him when he visits on Jan 16th to have a shot.
- Georgia finally moved on from Ronnie Harrison last month. His signing ceremony the other day was the ultimate nail in the coffin.
