LINK

8 and 32 both bite on a playfake to the RB, TE runs past 8 to receive catch, TE sidesteps #3 falling down, and runs 50 yards. Over that 50 yards, 8 outruns 32 by 10 yards and makes the tackle.
This is a play after 32 gave up 15 yards not covering the RB, and then jogged to a sideline tackle with a 10 yard head start.

This isn't busted assignments, or failing to disguise, opponent has the signal, or anybody is tired (first few plays of the game). This is a LB playing at Cody speed. I have heard he feels insecure about his knee. Either his knee was reinjured or he is slower than Keith Saunders wearing a lead vest. Kaho, half injured McMillon, Moody or 35, none could be slower than the speed at which Moses plays so hopefully there is a solution to this.

Icing on the cake was the TD throw where 8 & 32 both bit on the QB run fake. Neither of them covered the guy slipping into the middle of the end zone. Easy lob pass for TD. Is that due to poor coaching or 1-2 undisciplined LBs failing to see him and/or do what they should be doing.

Half arse effort all over that field Saturday night. We have much deeper problems than busted assignments and an awful defensive coordinator.

Something happened to Moses between the Mizzou game and aTm game. I don't know what it was, but he went from playing fast and aggressive to actively avoiding contact. Maybe he did tweak something and is scared of making it worse.

Moses hasn’t played football in a long time in football yrs. let’s give the young man some slack. We was all happy to have him back, let’s not trash because of a bad game.

I think he lets off because #8 runs in front of him. Otherwise they're running into each other. There were plays where he was slow, but this isn't one of them

If it was an injury he wouldn't be engaging at 1:03-1:09. The center blocks up the field, sheds it, and then he engages a second block chasing the ball down. There's also a few clips where he's dropping his shoulder full speed into the RB with 1-2 guys already on him.

He’s either scared of his injury still or lazy. Neither will cut it, and if that truly is the case then he needs to be replaced.

or maybe they've piled to much responsibility on him and hes having to think about what to do, rather than react. this is his first time calling plays also.

It doesn’t take much difficult thinking to figure out you need to run once the ball carrier actually has the ball and is running upfield.

It’s not the reaction timing I’m worried about. It’s the fact that once the offense has made the play, he jogs to the ball carrier.

He’s a Senior though... he’s had way more than enough time to learn what to do and when. I realize it’s not a fair comparison, but Hightower was calling plays as a sophomore... He’s gotta step up in a big way, and quickly.

Moses quit on so many plays. If he half asses another play, he should be benched for someone hungrier than him.

That is what I saw as well. It always seems like he was on the edge of the frame loafing to the ball carrier. The lack of effort on the def is a problem. We definitely don't have alphas on this team on D.
