Not sure how Young would take #10 returning for another year.

Then, beat him out. It's what Tua did. But you are correct, this is what Bama fans fear most, they just don't talk much about the horse in the barn that everyone wants to see run.

If the new NCAA rule actually does pass allowing players to leave and still be able to play asap then keeping two really good QB's on the roster will be impossible or difficult at best.

I can honestly see next year with an OL replacing at least three pieces and with new guys at WR and RB, the need for a QB that can move around a bit more being greater.

Mac moves pretty well in the pocket and has only one intent, throw the ball. I think he does a much better job of feeling pressure and moving away than Tua and Jalen. Mac seems to protect himself better than Tua and Jalen just wanted a reason to take off. Both far better runners, but if you are chucking the ball downfield in our play-action scheme it takes time. Buying it is an art and Mac is the master at giving receivers time to break open.

We will also be putting 5-star OL around him that are just dying to get on the field. No reason next year's QB has to be running for his life.

You really think he has 2 degrees in 4 years? Not saying your wrong but just seems like a lot.

I have. He has done great. It’s just that I’m most years there are only going to be 3-4 first round QBs and Lawrence, Fields, and Lance seemed to be kind of locked in as the top three heading into the year. I haven’t looked much since then, but I know the draft talkers were also high on Newman, plus Trask is having a Burrow-like season. Just seems to be a lot of traffic there.

You make an excellent point. There'll be plenty of time for him to get a feel for what the scouts are saying. That'll probably make his decision for him.

2nd round pick to the Indianapolis Colts.

Play behind Rivers for one season. Mac fits the Colts' offense.

Perceived lack of athleticism will keep him out of the first round.

Cash out when your stock is high.

He can't do better next year than he is this year.

Would be dumb to come back.

100% this.. Regardless of how much I'd personally like him back, he should pull a Cecil Newton: "Take the money and run.."

Tua and Bryce’s situation are not the same. Jalen struggled as a passer and continued to regress as the season went along. Bryce is in a situation, where he is back up to possibly a Heisman finalist and a guy who is playing extremely well.
