I’ve seen Mac has played his way into the 1st round of a lot of Mock Drafts. But Idk, I think Mac wants more than 1 Covid year with no fans to be QB at Bama. Do y’all think they is a chance he returns or is he gone?

What's the QB pool look like for the '21 draft compared to the '22 draft?
I guess that will be a determining factor.

what makes you think that?

If he can go first round I think it's very unlikely he'll be here next year

For the 100th time he is gone. He's not coming back.

Cash out when your stock is high.

He can't do better next year than he is this year.

Would be dumb to come back.

He's projected as a top-20 pick last I checked.

He gone.

Yeah he'd have to have a pretty epic meltdown between now and the end of the season to even think about staying.

Are we really seeing Mac mocked as a first round QB? I mean good for him if so but that’s surprising.

Yea Mac is in almost every first round mock draft. I've seen him as high as 12 but usually 15-30.

Someone put JT Daniels in their 1st round mock draft yesterday. He's played one game in a year and it was against a MSU team fielding 43 scholarship players.

You didn't ask but I'll be back next year. That should calm some fears.

Mac’s stock is as high as it can get right now, coming back next year would do nothing for him. Hope he balls out and moves into the top 10-15.

If we win the natty, and his stats keep trending the way they are, he matches or passes Joe Burrow. He is a definite top 15 IMO.

I have. He has done great. It’s just that I’m most years there are only going to be 3-4 first round QBs and Lawrence, Fields, and Lance seemed to be kind of locked in as the top three heading into the year. I haven’t looked much since then, but I know the draft talkers were also high on Newman, plus Trask is having a Burrow-like season. Just seems to be a lot of traffic there.

Wouldn't surprise me if he comes back. We've had guys here who stuck around when they could have been high draft picks. How much does he love being here? Just can't underestimate that one. What does he want to accomplish?

Ask Tebow (Heisman winner and 2 NCs and he wanted more), Eli and Peyton Manning (both projected to go very early in first-round, if not 1st overall, junior season), Matt Leinart (Led USC to NC and won Heisman and still came back), Drew Brees (finished 4th in Heisman junior year but wanted to win B1G and Rose Bowl), Sam Bradford (projected first to Detroit but wanted a chance to win natty),

They can draw comparisons of Burrows until the cows come home but Joe left as a senior and Mac will be a COVID junior next season.

Not sure how Young would take #10 returning for another year. JMO but I don't see Mack as a starter in the NFL. These next 4-7 games will tell the tale. I hope he does return for that makes Bama's chances of success in 2021 better.

Mac I think has two degrees at this point though. His stock is high. It makes sense for him to take a shot. And if I’m being honest, when I look at the WRs And OL leaving, its hard to say next year I’d have as good an opportunity to shine.
