Can this A&M loss be blamed on Coleman Coliseum?

Not trying to oversimplify anything, poor play is poor play.
But, it seems like there was ZERO "home field advantage " tonight that could have played into our players' heads.
These same players BALLED out against LSU and just 4 days later, the gym is half full of sleepy headed fans in a boring arse arena.
For a long time, I've been a Coleman defender, but the more I think about it, Bama just simply does NOT have a home court advantage.
Put me now in the Build something new camp.
The time to do something is now.

Sure why not
We've swapped players, coaches, jumbotrons, beverage companies.....maybe it's the arena?
I dunno, running out of options

Very, very disappointing loss.

In a sense, sure it can be.
A first class arena attracts better players, better coaches, and in turn, better and more fans.
Why should anything other than a gym half full of sleepy-headed fans be expected when, relatively speaking, everyone knows that this university, athletic department, and the powers that be don't give a shite about basketball?
Coleman is, what, second only to Vanderbilt's in terms of age? It's an effing disgrace that a university with Alabama's resources plays basketball in an arena that's so old that there were no black athletes at Alabama when it opened. I don't want to hear about this renovation or that upgrade. The building is a disgrace.

Don’t worry, they are about to paint it again and that will really improve the experience

We were screwed once Herb went down. He is back in some capacity and his rebounding and defense help a lot, him just being on the court helps a lot, but on offense when he is in the game we are basically playing with 4 players.
A one hand Herb is better than no Herb but it's just not enough.
As far as Coleman, it being pretty empty in a must win game was disappointing. Not sure if more fans would've shown up if Coleman was renovated or it would have still been mostly empty too. It would've been louder at least.

Coleman must go. We are way behind the rest of the conference in terms of basketball arenas. It’s embarrassing. Even the barn, with probably the worst basketball tradition in the SEC, has a much better facility than us.

The colosseum had zero to do with this loss. Complacency from the players and the fans did. We simply did not come out and play like we needed to. Fans figured the job was done and so did the players. We basically all got up for a rivalry game, and then went back to sleep.
Oats will get better players. Heck, he HAS better players sitting the bench right now. Furthermore, an additional year in the system will make everyone a better player.
It was a disappointing loss, but we are good. The future is bright.

We lost because down the stretch of the game we did nothing but shoot threes on offense (and we went cold) and we couldn't get a stop on defense. So I guess those two things were the arena's fault.
Now, the arena is a shithole and should be replaced. But poor decisions and soft play lost the game.

The Coliseum has everything to do with us not having a better fricking basketball program.

I was downvoted for saying the same thing on the rant.

It was a turnover fest by both teams. But in typical Bama fasbion we won that battle. And as you typically do when you win stuff like that, you lose the war.
