Listen people and listen good. STOP WORRYING ABOUT RECRUITING. This UGA shite will fadeaway. Kirby smart is recruiting well because he is selling recruits that he is building something special at UGA. Eventually he will need hardware to keep this credibility and sustain this high level of recruiting. These kids are not dumb guys. if Kirby can't manage to win a championship in 2-3 years UGA will return to what they are. Give it time and stop already crowning them like they have next up. They have to earn that shite like we did. It was no guarantee we were going to win with Julio, mark, and etc we earned it. Would love to have him ,but so what if Trey Sanders takes his arse to UGA we'll Fournette his arse. ROLL DAMN TIDE.

I agree with you about something has to give at UGA. Right now he is trying to sell the next dynasty in college football. Either we keep beating him on the field until it breaks down or he keeps dominating recruiting.

If we beat him next year that should call his bluff

I have wondered if KS can't beat us on the field if he pulls Mullen and narc us out to try and get rid of us that way. He has to know where the skeletons were buried from his time here and all it takes is finding one Leo Lewis who will testify about anything improper to get the national media to bury us.

Do not wish for this in any way, but it sure feels like he will get desperate/has already with that Haselwood poster bullshite. If he was willing to negative recruit with out big board who says he doesn't try and play dirty and snitch us out like fat Phil?

I should also mention that I think Mullen can compete with him at Florida. Obviously they aren't getting half a dozen five stars every year, but Mullen built a solid team at MSU.

As long as Bama finishes in the top 5 each cycle they should be good to go. Kirby has proven he can recruit and coach. Can he manage a program that has off the chart expectations year after year? When current staff leave can he hire great coaches to assist him?

We'll see. Wednesday is just another battle of more battles that will occur between Nick and Kirby for year to come. They can have a parade if they finish 1st again but when they go to bed Wednesday night they still will be zero for 2 in the two biggest games they have played in 60 years. These are the facts and they are documented.

nahh. I don't think so. We've had it real easy recruiting in the SEC in the Saban era, but Smart is a good recruiter and he's hired some assistants that are good at it. We'll just have to deal with it, and we will. Saban is still the best recruiter in the nation, and proabably the best ever in college football.

I don't know if Mullen can do it, but UF has shown that, like Alabama, if a coach can't cut it, he won't be long there. It's easy to recruit to Florida. edit to say that it should be easy. That Mullen isn't even a very good recruiter may be the single most likely reason he won't win big there. I said "may be".

No it won't. And that's fine, but don't fool yourself into thinking this is some fad. Kirby can recruit, he has coaches who can recruit and he's at a place that can be sold in a state with kids everywhere. Georgia is gonna be there for as long as Kirby is there. And that's fine. It'll be fun.

But don't trick yourself into thinking this is some flash in the pan.

UGA is the first team that has felt like a true genuine threat since Saban arrived and Meyer left. Their roster is about to be just as talented as our’s. Of course Kirby isn’t Saban and it’s different to build a program than it is to sustain it.

But UGA isn’t going away and as good as our class is this year, it does suck that we’re again “floundering” (relative term here) a bit down the stretch while UGA finishes strong.

it's a good possibility that recruits are actually starting to believe that Saban may not be there till their 4 or 5 years are up, and you know those kids hear it at every stop. I think he will, but it doesn't matter what I think.

Eventually we will have to start addressing the negative recruiting with a plan for the future that shows what happens if Saban retires. It's just not realistic to expect recruits to believe Saban will always be their head coach at this point, despite what we as fans believe.

It won’t stop.

Georgia is one of the easiest places to recruit to in the country, with great in state talent.

UGA fans are wrong though when they say UGA will take over as CFB’s premier dynasty.

UGA will only take over when Saban retires, it will back and forth until then.

And the comes in Dabo to Bama.. the race for the top with be back and forth then..lol

I’m glad to have some competition like this.. it’s good for us and the sport. Kirby is doing a hell of a job and will have UGA in it every year.

that's a long stretch to say that UGA will "take over". You may not even "take over" the SEC East for long. UF won't be down long, you can bet that.

Georgia is in such a unique place because they have so much less competition for in state talent compared to a team like UF which is in the premier talent state, but has 3 programs competing with them now in state (Miami, FSU, UCF). Kirby has a long way to go as an instate coach, but he will keep the talent stocked for a long time.

The best programs recruit nation wide. They don't stop at the Georgia state line anymore than they stop at the Florida state line, or anymore than UGA stopped at the Alabama state line to go to Oxford High School.

I understand this, my point is that when you have almost no in state competition and you lock out Clemson and Auburn who had been previously pillaging Georgia for talent in the Richt era, you have a way better floor of talent that will be in each class compared to a team in Florida who is competing with teams across the nation. UGA also recruits nationally of course.

But RCT wants Saban to leave

Where's the fun in calming down and not making fun of tards like that?

Sorry, not sold on that either.

Big step from being a consistent Top 5 program to being the preeminent program in college football.

First you have to be the preeminent program for 1 season, then you have to show you can deal with getting back there, then you have to show you can deal with getting back there multiple times.
