Heard about Tua and Mac’s lack of arm strength for 4 straight years and I’m wondering what the scouting report is on how relatively easy he’s able to throw the ball. I know what I’ve seen but I haven’t seen much of his high school tape.

We talking same story different year or a shrimp with a rocket?

This is the best raw arm we’ve ever had. If he develops like Mac and Tua he’ll win an MVP in the NFL.

He's got the quickness that will be hard to defend

The rumor is Bama will bring in Uncle Rico to compete for the job. Some reports say he can throw the ball over dem mountains.

He’s quick on his feet, quick with his release, and processes quickly. Triple threat.

I thought Tua had a very strong arm until the leg injuries started piling up

Speaking of Tua, apparently he’s getting pretty fit this off-season. I expect big things this season.

I'll say this, when I saw his mop-up duty last year, i said to myself: Self, oh, his throws are different.

No matter how strong his arm is, when draft analysts start talking it will be a "good not great" arm.

Probably the most overrated QB trait. Lots more cannon arm QBs than there are accurate QBs out there.

So does Freddie Kitchens.

Freddie's arm talent was never so much a question of whether or not he could knock down the side of a barn with the ball but which barn might it hit.

I will never miss an opportunity to quote my friend’s dad after watching Freddie fire a 60mph fastball off the hands of a receiver running a two yard dig route:
“Put his fat arse up on the line where he can actually help the team.”

Every game, firing rockets on swing routes and screens like he was throwing a 65 yard bomb.

I think Tua having a weak arm is one of those lies told by sports journalists. Keep believing that shite if you want to.

The word “Touch” must not have been in any of the books they had over at Etowah High School back in the day.

Freddie Kitchens.

Covered above, but I share their sentiment.

Arm talent is much more than arm strength. Coker had a cannon, too, and maybe better overall arm talent than Freddie.

Brodie was a great talent, but had as many lower body issues as Tua.

I think Tua is tremendous as well when 100% healthy. Last year was a bad look. He didn't have much of an off-season and jumped into live action in the NFL coming off of a significant injury. Not surprised he seemed tentative. I expect he'll have a much bigger yr 2.

AJ and Mac were the best combinations in my lifetime of talent, smarts, and injury luck. Hope, Bryce falls in this group.

He’s really good.

I had a golf retreat recently with the athletic department in Orange Beach. I happened to be paired with BO. I didn’t bring up football at all, usually guys who do it all the time don’t want to talk about it. He is super motivated started right in on football. I asked him what he really thinks about this year. He said we are really good, young in areas but really good. Said he has coached 2 guys (Tom Brady, Desean Watson) and Young is a spitting image of Watson with Tom Brady poise High complements IMO. Long and short. We will be good, shocker.
