LINKWe had already moved him off field in favor of Freddy Roach. Man what a weird couple years for dline coaching changes. Both of the last two coaches had excellent pedigrees and only lasted one season.

It's hard to tell how good he was for us last year considering his pool of rotation was made up predominantly of true freshmen and an overrated senior.

Before long we will have DL coach’s all over the NFL, Baker, Bo, Tosh and maybe Kool.

Dunbar might have been the worst recruiter in CFB history. No thanks.

Yet the best DL coach.

People still want to give him grief over missing a last second prospect who has since transferred out of UF.

Recruiting doesn't mean anything if you can't coach them. Those last 2 replacements couldn't do either.

Stoutland couldn't recruit either, but he was the best OL coach Saban had...

Easily. Karl Dunbar has been coaching Dline for over 20 years with most of those stops in the NFL. Always get a chuckle at people on this site shitting on him but prop up Bo Davis as this savant.

Stoudland made chicken salad out of chicken poop.

I'm interested to see what Flood does with this years offensive line. They should be outstanding even though Wills went pro. Three seniors and a bunch of talented players vying for playing time. Hopefully Roach coaches up the young guys on the defensive line.

Our coaches seldom get fired they just drift off to another job. If I coached DL at Bama I would keep all my options open and my resume close.

Back to back hires by Nick at DL that crashed and burned. I will assume that Bo Davis couldn't pass the compliance department or his contract was a problem with the Lions. If Pete still has the keys to his office by next Friday then the staff is set. We'll see.

I'll be looking hard for that puff of white smoke.

Chapman, Dial, Square, Jesse Williams, Stinson, and Pagan weren't "chicken poop" IMO.

I'm sure Stout thought the same...when his OL went against them in practice

I think that is Saban’s doing. He makes sure his guys have a job to go to before they leave.

And to basically leave you guessing. The man loves subterfuge. I believe he could have carved out a meaningful life with the CIA if this football stuff hadn't worked out so well.

Pendry was the best OL coach of the Saban era
