Blue-Out Tomorrow

My daughter (current student) informed me and the family to wear blue to the game tomorrow in honor of Officer Cousette. Just wanted to make sure the word got out for those attending.
Just a follow up, I asked her about it and she sent a screen shot of what she received. She did not include on the screen shot who sent it, but she is part of the Alabama Panhellenic Association. It says "Students are encouraged to wear blue to the game this Saturday in honor of Officer Dornell Cousette who was killed in the line of duty on Tuesday. Please show your support for him, his family, and community" Do with it what you will.

Nah.
You aren't going to be there so why even comment?
This guy was MURDERED for doing his job and the University of Alabama is doing something to memoralize him for it.
What's your fricking problem?

I may. Depends on what time everyone wants to leave, but I am afraid it will be too early.

Besides not wanting to see blue at an Alabama game?

Yeah.
Georgia fans wore pink last week to honor the opposing coach's wife. Alabama fans can't be bothered to wear blue to honor a man who was murdered?
But let me guess, because he was a cop you don't want to do it? Like your privileged white boy arse from fricking Millbrook has any reason to fear or hate the police.
Grow up, kid. A man's life was taken and the grownups have decided to do something to honor him for his service and sacrifice.

Never said I did. I certainly don't fear them. I do hate some, but that's just from personal dealings with them. Fairly good friends with others. Indifferent to any that I don't know.

Chill out man. Besides, has the school officially said this is a thing? One guy’s daughter does not equal “the university”

Ever think sometimes it's better just to not comment?

With all due respect, we are not Georgia.
Be that as it may, however, I can appreciate the sentiment and will get behind anyone who wants to wear blue on the morning. Despite it being in honor of a fallen police officer, I personally wouldn't do it as they are the colors of our biggest rival.

Not from what I've seen.

I guess only some blue lives matter...

These comments are ridiculous.

Good for your daughter to honor a fallen officer.

My .02....
1. Agreed that "someone's daughter saying to do it" doesn't make it a thing. I get all the emails from Byrne and Tide Pride, and they've said nothing. If the university tries to do something like Georgia's pink out, I'd do it. Otherwise, no. Ramdom, scattered blue shirts would look lame.
2. Navy blue doesn't count for Auburn blue without the orange. If there was a University-initiated blue out, this would be a pretty lame excuse.

Almost sounds like a student initiated thing and possibly limited to just the student section.

Good for them then. Makes a lot of sense, since it's their community.

Saban’s daughter is on twitter saying the same thing about everyone needing to wear blue

This is a great gesture by the University. The man lost his life in Tuscaloosa in the line of duty. Tough situation for his family & fellow officers. Be great to see lots blue in remembrance of a fallen hero, Officer Cousette.
