Seeing Texas and Notre Dame at Bryant Denny is really, really exciting. I hope they keep building on this for the years in between 2023 and 2028 and even start scheduling a few smaller P5 opponents.

And, like I've always said, I'm fine with a neutral game every 3 years or so. Just give me a few bones with some H/Hs. These are some serious H/Hs. Awesome.

Could be still in talks - FutureSchedules had it listed. I'd guess if they are discussing it and that is being leaked it's pretty close to a done deal. Can't remember one of those that got leaked that didn't end up actually happening recently.

Agree- unless it is a big time marquee opponent, we should chill out on these neutral sites and try to get more home/homes. With the playoffs, the fans have the SECCG and then two neutral site travel games at the end of season.

It sucks when its the likes of Louisville, Wisconsin, VaTech, West Virgina, Duke. I know its more money but it becomes counter-productive i/m/o if its not a blue blood marquee name at that neutral site.

Rumblings of a future neutral-site meeting between Alabama and USC have occurred over the last couple of months, but the meeting appears to be set, according to a recent report.

According to a copy of the game contract obtained by FBSchedules.com, the Crimson Tide and Trojans will face off inside AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, on Saturday, Sept. 5, 2020.

Alabama will receive a $6 million guarantee for the game, according to the contract.

In the season-opening matchup, Alabama will be designated as the home team, while USC will be designated as the visiting team. Broadcast rights have been assigned to the SEC, which means that the game will air on CBS or an ESPN network, per FBSchedules.

This will mark Alabama’s fourth appearance in the AdvoCare Classic, which was previously known as the Cowboys Classic. In the 2016 non-conference contest, the Tide dismantled USC by a score of 52-6 and also received a $6 million guarantee to play that game.

In its first two appearances in Jerry World, Alabama defeated the Michigan Wolverines, 41-14, to open the 2012 season and the Wisconsin Badgers, 35-17, to open the 2015 season.

Alabama also has neutral-site openers set for the 2018, 2019 and 2021 seasons. It will receive $4.5 million for playing Louisville in Orlando, Fla., this fall, receive $4.5 million for playing Duke in Atlanta in 2019 and receiver $5 million for playing Miami in Atlanta in 2021.

The USC game is the third marquee game on the Tide’s future schedules. It was announced Wednesday that Alabama will face the Texas Longhorns in a home-and-home series beginning in 2022 in Austin and with a return trip to Tuscaloosa the following year in 2023. UA will also face Notre Dame in a home-and-home series during the 2028 and 2029 campaigns.

Alabama and USC will play for the ninth time in the history of the two programs in 2020, with the Crimson Tide owning a 6-2 advantage in the series. Outside of 2016, the most recent meeting between the two teams came on Dec. 28, 1985, in Honolulu, Hawaii, where Alabama capped a 9-2-1 season with a 24-3 victory over the Trojans in the Aloha Bowl.
