Could be kinda cool. USC is a bunch of pussies anyway.

Better then playing Louisville or Duke.
I still hope the USC game happens, Bama would murder TCU.

It's getting painfully obvious that Patterson's mojo just ain't working for the purple Hoenfrogs at the elite level. I guess the caliber of player, especially QB, is going elsewhere these days. But Patterson is a much better coach than Helton and TCU would be playing us in their backyard. I'm hoping for a USC rematch.

I was looking forward to the USC game. I was there for the matchup in 2016. I really enjoyed the Trojan fans.

Is there no one better? Who is UCLA or Stanford playing?

New Mexico State and William and Mary, respectively.

They have 3 top ten finishes the past 6 seasons. They’ve been mediocre the past two seasons, but they’ve had a ton of injury and QB problems. USC has been poor the past two seasons as well.
I think people are showing some short term memory and brand bias in this thread. TCU and USC were equal programs last decade, and TCU’s ‘14 team is better than any USC team of the 2010s.

6 of TCU’s 7 losses last season were by one score last season. A healthy roster flips a lot of those losses.
USC went 8-5 in the worst division in the P5 last year, and they got waxed in the bowl. I don’t think these teams are much different.

The Cali schools probably wont be playing anyone. Not sure about the rest of us, but they will be the first to opt out.

Los Angeles County just announced they are locking down another 3-months until July. Maybe hard for SoCal to get ready for the season.

I’d go ahead and consider USC off of the table. I’d also never schedule a PAC 12 school again. But that’s just my thoughts on it.

Cal State system just cancelled fall classes. Not sure how that impacts the UC system but I am sure they will follow suit. USC is private but they will surely follow suit if all the dominoes fall in the California state schools. It then begs the question how the PAC can have a season if California isn't participating and then how we can have a season if a P5 conference folds up their tent?

Let’s face it. If the team we play first isn’t ranked in the top ten at the end of the year, we ain’t played nobody is coming on strong.
Also who would seriously want to play Bama week 1 and take the L?

USC doesn't really follow the UC's or Cal States. USC was planning on still having a graduation far after those two systems had announced online only, and sent out public correspondence they would be attempting to do it to the best of their limitations. USC had also been planning up until the last second to have students come back on campus in late April.
We can practice in Pasadena at the Rose Bowl if the county relaxes and the city stays put. The school isn't state funded so it's safety blanket isn't like the state schools. I would think USC makes a massive push to have on-campus classes regardless, especially with a loss of tuition in international students.
I think we'd see a cancellation very late, around August, and the TCU game is a contingency if that happens.
