Alabama Soccer Travels to No. 7 Arkansas for Thursday Night Matchup
The Alabama soccer team (7-6-0, 2-2-0 SEC) will face its second-consecutive ranked opponent Thursday as the team travels to Fayetteville, Ark., to battle No. 7 Arkansas (9-2-0, 4-0-0 SEC) in a Thursday night game at the Razorback Soccer Field.

Needing to win the third set to extend the match, Alabama volleyball rallied late to tie fifth-ranked Kentucky at 23-23 before the Wildcats scored back-to-back to win the set and take the match in three sets.
Alabama (8-9, 0-5 SEC) fell to Kentucky (11-3, 4-0 SEC) by set scores of 25-19 and 25-15 before the neck-and-neck battle in the third.

The No. 22-ranked Alabama men's cross country team will compete in Friday's Pre-Nationals Invitational at the Apalachee Regional Park in Tallahassee, Fla., while the women's squad is sending a trio of individuals to compete in the open race.
The men's Garnet 8-kilometer race gets underway at 7 a.m. CT, while the Women's Open 6-kilometer contest starts at 8:45 a.m. CT. The meet is being held on the site of the 2021 NCAA Cross Country Championships, which will be held on Nov. 20.

Cheshire Opens ITA Southern Regionals For Alabama Women’s Tennis
The Crimson Tide will compete in the main draw for doubles and singles on Friday
Ansley Cheshire recorded her first win in a Crimson Tide uniform as the Alabama freshman kicked off the ITA Southern Regionals Thursday at the Alabama Tennis Stadium.
Cheshire recorded her first collegiate win in a consolation match against Giovanna Pereira from Louisiana Monroe. The Alabama freshman dropped just three games in her opening set before battling to a 7-5 decision in set two.
Earlier in the day, Cheshire faced Dariana Prato from Jacksonville State in the Qualifying Round of 64. Cheshire fought through a contested first set, forcing her way to victory out of a 6-6 tie to take the opening set 7-6(3). Prato took the second set 6-2 to force a third game. The two players went back-and-forth in the tiebreak but Prato edged Cheshire with a 13-11 victory to take the win.
The Tide returns to action Friday as doubles action kicks off at 9 a.m. CT and the main draw for singles begins at noon. The final matches for the qualifying round of singles will begin at 8 a.m. CT.

The No. 22 ranked Alabama men's cross country team raced to a ninth-place finish at the Pre-Nationals Invitational Friday morning behind a stellar run by Victor Kiprop who finished third amongst a stacked field in Tallahassee..
With a trio of top-40 individual finishes, Alabama tallied 325 points to earn its top-10 finish among a field that included 13 ranked squads. In addition to Kiprop, Eliud Kipsang took 13th place, while Hillary Cheruiyot was 33rd. Jacob wankers was 128th and Carson Burian was 153rd to round out the Tide's scoring five.
Kiprop also became one of just six men to ever go under 23 minutes over the Apalachee Regional Park 8-kilometer course, posting a time of 22:54.8. This year's NCAA Championships will also be held in Tallahassee at the Apalachee Regional Park.
