I'm not, Bama is about to put a beat down on this average Auburn team.

so, cristobal has the best talent, but gets beat and thats a good reason for him to come to bama?

Not sure who will be available when Saban decides to retire but I don’t see a scenario where Cristobal is not on the list to replace him . Oregon had some players opt out and lost talent last year to the NFL so I wouldn’t read too much into one game

Any early guesses as to what the line on the LSU game will be ? I'd love to shut them out.

Shoutout to coach Steve Sarkisian. That was a great job yesterday. Kids were focused, and his cool style and demeanor on the sidelines kept the ship steady even with the barners in town for a grudge fight. Calling plays and directing traffic all day was eloquently done, coach. If we thought it was going to be hard to get people to keep their hands off of our OC we haven't seen anything after that demo as commander and chief.

I was a little disappointed coach Saban didn't make allowance for Sark to talk to the media after the game. Hearing how coach Saban watched the game, which sounded much like my mancave, it would have been nice to hear Sark's perspective.

Agreed. Sark is terrific. I hope that we're able to keep him after the season is over. He's a terrific play caller and has a calm presence.

His play calling is astounding really. He's so much better at staying balanced this year. And his creativity in scheming guys open is remarkable. The foolish pundits that suggested losing Waddle, as if raw speed was the only way to make this passing attack work, I'm talking about you Pollack and those of his ilk were extremely short-sighted about what Sark has got cooking. And we aren't running the ball as a diversion or change of pace, we are punishing people with it. We're demanding defenses to put an extra man in the box or else. It is just a stroke of genius to have Mac in the play-action off of it.

As an added benefit, it's giving our D a lot of rest with sustained drives and it's letting our offense play physical, which always translates to better defensive play. The balance we've sustained against all the different teams and top 10 talent we've played is certainly getting Bama ready for the big show.

I hope that Jahleel Billingsley is incorporated into the offense more. That guy is a mismatch. He is a natural pass receiver.

We are getting teased. We pop something big with him and then we go away. With our running game and lethal downfield approach, he's going to have LBers trying to chase him all day. He looks like an H-back more so right now to me. Maybe we should start giving him more of the Brad Smelley treatment?

Hypothetical we play Clemson. I watched them just part of one game. What’s the opinion on how we match up?

He's a much better athlete than Brad Smelley.

And bigger too. But McElwain had Smelley in a very productive role as our H-back, while a bigger Michael Williams played tight end. He was super productive in our 2011 championship run.

Sark was fantastic last night. My only complaint was with our last possession before the half when we wasted a wonderful opportunity to break the game open early and completely demoralize Auburn. I did not understand the ultra-conservative play calling. We handed off to BRob multiple times and he was getting good yards and running the clock. But when on our last set of downs, he got only 1 or 2 yards on 1st down. I felt like that was the time to take the gloves off and start attacking. Instead, we ran again on 2nd down, getting next to nothing and setting up the 3rd and 7 where Mac hit a fairly well covered Metchie down the sidelines and it fell incomplete. Metchie probably should have caught it, and it was a well designed play, but the entire series rested on the outcome of that play and it was pretty well defended. Nothing else we ran had been designed to gain chunk yardage. If we had tried to actually strike on 2nd and long and then again on 3rd and it was unsuccessful, ok, we tried. But we basically had one shot at it and only one. To be sure, it's a small, nitpicky thing to point out. I just felt like we had our foot on their throat at that point and could have ended it right there and let the opportunity slip away.
