Bama o/u is 43.5. Y’all feel confident we hit that?

Yes, if not too many major players are out with Covid.

Is there any chance CBS televises our game since the original CBS game was cancelled? I’m in Gatlinburg this weekend and not sure the chalet gets the SEC Network yet. Laptop is backup plan.

Doubtful. ESPN is under no obligation to give up any of the SEC games it has scheduled to broadcast on its networks, and I don’t think they would.

Wouldn't that be easily verifiable from the practice pics posted above?
I think Casagrande and others who attend the media session would be quick on who wasn't there.

Who was missing? I didn't notice anyone. Players have also been available to the media.

It's to honor my dad (Arky alum).
He passed away last Christmas.

We ridin'! Beat LSU!

Arky is my 2nd favorite team after Bama. The Pitboss & Co. are doing a great job. Officials screwed the Hogs out of their legit win @ AU.

Ogre scared -- he finagled 2 weeks to prepare.

And thank God they are doing the contract-tracing or we would have even more SEC players and coaches seriously ill or dying of Covid than we have already had.

How many have gotten seriously ill or died?

Second question- how many held out by contact tracing developed it during their 14 days.

I don’t think either question has been asked much less answered.

I would be surprised if the first number is more than a few dozen. I wouldn’t be surprised at all if the second number is zero.

The answer is 0 or close to 0. Sorry but it hasn’t done anything to the college football world other than shut games down.

Yep, with contract tracing being the main culprit.

If any reporter had both brains and courage, they'd be forcing the question about how many quarantined by tracing actually came up positive in that time. Sadly, few reporters have either brains or courage and none have both.

Well, that ... and the whole HIPAA regulations thing. Can't force someone to admit they contracted a disease, and an organization (such as a university) certainly can't release that info.

You have to understand that liberals own most all the MSM and if you as a reporter want to have a job then you don't question the spin. It is already documented for you.

It's FERPA for school medical records, but whatever.

The school can admit that X tests were positive or X tests were negative. The standard is whether the information is identifying. Alabama can release a report about a massive COVID outbreak among on campus students including the numbers of positive tests, total tests, hospitalizations, etc. but they would likely run afoul of FERPA if they revealed that it originated from a certain dorm or fraternity house.

Also, the football team probably signs waivers that allow their medical information to be publicized anyway. Otherwise Saban confirming that Waddle broke his leg during the post-game presser after we beat the brakes off the Vol trash would have been a FERPA violation.

Per Fauci, scientific evidence supports that it's safe to end a college athlete quarantine if the player is asymptomatic and tests negative on days 5, 6 & 7. But apparently the conferences chose to meet state & local quarantine policies for contact tracing.
