If the current rumor is true and Golding is out.. that means someone is making defensive adjustments for him and Saban already got a big name in mind.. (Muschamp, Strong, someone in the coaching world?)

i truly think golding's lack of experience in coaching mlbr's has hurt bama not only in scheme and training but in recruiting also. i have no doubt other teams have pointed out that glaring lack of experience to recruits. honestly, they dont have to look to hard to see it.

me either and frankly this would be the absolute worst time for this information to leak. Apparently Saban won't be able even to communicate with the coaches, so a lame duck Golding might not give much of a shite if any at all, and Saban wouldn't be there to call the defense. Course, there is also the possibility a pissed off Golding might actually sabotage the game but I don't think that's likely since he'll want another job.

Saban didn’t let anything out. Word just gets around. It’s not like all parties involved don’t already know. They’ve known for a while. Professionals keep working. Nothing more nothing less.

The Sark thing is a common belief based on how CNS feels about Sark. I don’t expect CNS to go anywhere anytime soon.

Postponed Alabama-LSU game officially rescheduled for Dec. 5 (BOL)

quote:

Alabama’s road game at LSU, which was postponed due to COVID-19 issues for the Tigers, has been rescheduled for Saturday, Dec. 5, it was announced on Friday. The scheduling move also means the Tide’s Dec. 5 game at Arkansas will be moved, likely to Dec. 12.

Alabama and LSU were originally set to play on Nov. 14, but the game was postponed due to a combination of positive tests, contact tracing and subsequent quarantining of individuals within the LSU program, consistent with SEC COVID-19 management requirements. Now the game will be made up three weeks later thanks to some schedule reshuffling by the SEC.

"The cooperation and flexibility of our coaches, athletics directors and campus leaders along with the dedication of our student-athletes now provides the opportunity to reach this point in the season with the ability for each SEC team to play ten football games in 2020," said SEC Commissioner Greg Sankey in a release.

"We knew before the season there would be interruptions and scheduling challenges related to COVID-19 and we will continue to manage the remaining weeks of the football schedule to allow for as many games to be played as possible, with a continuing focus on determining an SEC champion."

Alabama and LSU will meet for the 85th time in series history next weekend. The Crimson Tide owns a 53-26-5 all-time advantage, despite losing last year’s shootout between Nos. 1 and 2, 46-41. That win by the Tigers snapped UA’s eight-game winning streak that included a 29-0 win in the Tide’s last visit to Baton Rouge. Alabama head coach Nick Saban is 10-5 in his career against LSU, including a 10-4 mark at Alabama. LSU head coach Ed Orgeron is 1-6 all-time against the Crimson Tide, including a 1-3 mark during his time in Baton Rouge.

Because CBS had rights to the originally scheduled Alabama-LSU game on Nov. 14, the rescheduled game on Dec. 5 will be televised by CBS at 7 p.m. CT as part of a doubleheader.

Revised schedule of SEC football games for Dec. 5:

Alabama at LSU
Arkansas at Missouri
Florida at Tennessee
South Carolina at Kentucky
Texas A&M at Auburn
Vanderbilt at Georgia

Alabama’s remaining regular-season football schedule:

Nov. 28 -- vs Auburn -- 2:30 CT (CBS)
Dec. 5 -- at LSU -- 7 p.m. CT (CBS)
Dec. 12 -- at Arkansas -- TBA

The truth… Alabama has zero covid positive cases for players going into Auburn. The last tests on Thursday have cleared. As previously discussed Saban should be cleared on Friday before LSU.

Alabama has several injuries. Obviously Waddle and Sanders will not dress. I expect Slade to play. The two still in question are Neal and Quick who are a little banged up.

With Sark as head coach expect the offense to be wide open and keep the motor going. As I was told last week and again this week, Billingsley continues to stand out. Big game from 6, 8, 19 & 22!

Defense is healthy and ready. Key is stopping trick plays and eye candy. We will miss Saban. I got a feeling a big game from 32 and 31!

Iffy on Cristobal. Great recruiter terrible in game coach. Tonight is a perfect example.

Can Sark recruit? Seems like a very quiet and laid back personality. Honestly seems like a better OC than HC to me. Let’s hire Urban for one last hurrah once Saban retires. He’ll be good for 1-2 natties before he has a stress stroke.

Sark is the main reason we have Bryce Young. So yes he can recruit.

If he hires good coordinators I can still see him being plenty successful . I don’t put much stock in PAC 12 talent. He has prolly the best roster out there but I think he could win bigly with Southern football players

Cristobal with Oregon's roster losing to Oregon State is equivalent to Alabama losing to Vanderbilt. No excuse whatsoever. Mario has had several games like that in Eugene. I thought it would fade after a few seasons, but it hasn't. He has at least one WTF game a season. He's Clemsoning in other words. I like him and think he's a good coach, but he hasn't quite gotten it figured out yet.

ETA: Re the Golding rumor; wouldn't it be the courteous thing to do and it fits Saban's MO for him to go ahead and tell Golding he's on borrowed time so they can be finding him his next gig with plenty of time to look around and find a suitable place?
