Wonder if Allen gets another shot, or they proceed with Reichard fulltime?
Once they made the swap against UGA, didn't see Allen again.
He did fine against Ole Miss, odd that 1 kick was enough to pull him. Unless he hurt himself on that kickoff?

Maybe Bullovas should be kicking off.

Had the pleasure of meeting the worst Clemson troll of all time on twitter. He was debating that Mac jones had a outlier performance against ole miss that pads his completion pct (because they’re bad, but uh almost everyone is bad on Clemson’s schedule) and that jones’ completion percentage increased in the 2nd half of the ole miss game (16-19 to 12-13) that it proves that fatigue is the reason Mac jones had such a high completion percentage. And that Trevor Lawrence would have a similar one if he played the 2nd half vs GT. I couldn’t even begin to grasp how incredibly incoherent and random this was. But I found it funny

I hope so, but I think this game might be pretty competitive.
Tennessee has a pretty good defense, they held Bama to Bama's lowest point total last year.
Tennessee also has a very good OL, but with a bad QB. With that bad QB, Tennessee probably will run the ball as much as possible and eat a lot of clock.
For Bama, this is s huge letdown game. If Bama isn't focused, it could get ugly. Tennessee isn't as bad as Kentucky made them look last week.
I could see Tennessee having a lot of success running the ball against this Bama defense and limiting Bama's offensive possessions.
If I was betting on the game, I would be against Bama covering the spread.
I see this as a 38-24 type game, with Bama scoring a late TD to ice the game.

We need the 10RC QB to play as he had vs UGA (2nd half) and UK. He will probably play like Joe Willie this weekend.

That was the game Tua got hurt and Mac had to come in

I know some on here think the DL played great
Wait, what? If there's anyone who thinks our DL played anywhere near tolerable, they need their heads examined. Our DL was embarrassingly bad. Got blown out at the point of attack all night. If their OC hadn't gone full Kiffin/Pussmeier and just run HB Power all night we would have been beaten soundly.
Combine the softness against the run with an almost absent pass rush and I don't know how anyone can think the DL was good. Batted balls by your DL is usually indicative of getting stoned by the OL (which was the case Saturday night).

Actually it was the poster on BOL surge quoted who had a little higher opinion of DL play

Zone is the key to this defense. We have to play zone. Make the QB work to find windows while avoiding the sack. I think when we switched to primarily zone we were way better. Interceptions happen in zone more frequently especially with stacked coverage. You saw it first hand.

I agree. Especially with the teams in the west. Match up zone and using soft coverages against the high octane teams is a must. Keep things in front of our defense and create a little confusion of our own in the passing lanes. This defense needs to feel they have the ability to play fast. Our identity will change quickly.

In the middle of the field sure. Pass off zone was def working. But we don’t want everyone in cover 2. Surtain and Jobe need to stay in man to man on the outside. Safeties need to occupy the middle and deep part of the field. Slot DBs need to control everything near LOS. Safeties pick them up when they go out of phase.

Anyone got an injury update?
Ray obviously but I didn’t see Mathis against UGA. Forristall good? Were we missing anyone else?

I got the feeling that Ray might still be out this week after listening to CNS. The back up tight end missed the uga game, and might miss another game. UT is getting two starting offensive linemen back, so that will probably help their offense and their QB.

How is Pruitt going to get anymore OL on the field? He's rotating 7 now during the game. That's some crazy stuff right there.
For what it's worth:
Jeremy Pruitt on if Jarrett Guarantano is the starting quarterback against Bama: "Yeah... Am I wanting to put Jarrett Guarantano on the shelf? No."

He has been nicked up all season. I think he fell on a Guaranturnover fumble and got hurt again and went out. Not sure how bad.
